  1. I've managed to snap both the clip things that slide into the rails for the estate luggage cover. The nearest ones I can find are on amazon for A Class Mercs. Does anyone know if these are available anywhere?
  2. Yes I meant 3 core armoured cable not domestic 2.5 mm t&e.
  3. Ahh right, I'm in the throws of trying to organise the same thing with a sparky to save cash by laying the cable myself - hence the interest (and concern that I'd FU by using twin and earth).
  4. I'm lost why did it need to be 5 core? And how's the sparky now doing it without running a cable?
  5. Anyone in need of a lower grille without ACC "hole" 5E0853677 let me know ASAP as i have a new one available for the cost of postage or free if collecting. I have little room to store so speak up now. Grille is for non VRS models. Would be ideal if struck by pheasant or if wanting to do stone protection mod.
  6. I'm assuming you haven't hit a pheasant at 70mph to consider the need for plucking. There was no trace of bird as such just lots of feathers, giblets and a smell of singed excrement (some the pheasants and probably a little of mine when assessing the damage).
  7. Thank you very much Norsko much appreciated.
  8. I would dearly like to find the above funny but as last Thursday a pheasant ran out on the A1 while I was doing 70, I now have an Estate with a missing ACC cover, smashed lower grille and numerous errors on scanning ACC at dealers. Anyone got suitable lowe grills and ACC cover knocking about? Dealers tell me they don't have equipment to test / reset ACC radar, will ODB2 do it?
  9. Wow you have done some solid work on this !
  10. I'd buy it but I would guess postage would be a fortune. I don't suppose you are ever around North London?
  11. Voice control for phone seems to work correctly 50 % of the time, for sat Nav or audio tracks - never gets it correct for me. (That's on MIB2 Amundsen) Luckily I only really use a few numbers so the 5 favourites are enough most of the time. The dealer did claim that it should learn your voice commands over time ( not sure if I fact it has an algorithm to do this ) but after 6 months I've given up
  12. Sorry I thought the sheets were model specific and pre cut? If not I'm sure your right and any " helicopter tape" type stuff would do.
  13. SE-L so heated, electric and folding. At the minute not really cold enough to evaluate the heating.
  14. Good spot, I've just ordered it and will post when it arrives. Lack of blind spot mirror has been bugging me.
  15. Interestingly there seems to be a few on line places offering "mirror link" activation for VW cars now http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00Q6CH82E/ref=aw_d_dsc_automotive
  16. Not that I've managed to find yet. The only "hack" I've managed to find is ignition to fool an ipad to look like it's running car play. I haven't got car play activated so haven't bothered exploring it yet. It does seem to allow some non carplay apps to run but wasn't quite what I ( and I suspect you) we're looking for.
  17. I'm lost why there is debate, the O3 scout was marketed as Euro VI since it's launch. Indeed as it was launched after Sep 2014 I think it had to be Euro VI compliant. We have yet to see if this is "real world figures" or software manipulation?
  18. Ahh I assumed it would turn the lights, is it actually any benefit to having one light switch off?
  19. Can cornering fogs be coded on all cars or do you need xenons to have ?the motor in the fog lights?
  20. That doesn't seem to bad a price for alloys and 17" wheels, what alloys and tyres did you get? Any chance of pics and which dealership?
  21. Being nosey why only rear sill protectors? I think the car looks a bit bland when the doors are open without anything on the sills but I'm a bit concerned that putting on the sill plates will lead to rust under them. As the doors seem to have by all accounts a habit of retaining water I'd hate to add something that could just trap water. Anyone any long term experience?
  22. On day 3 of ownership MY16 2.0 tdi manual I seem to be experiencing very similar issues. Car seems to stall at low speed even with clutch ?engaged. Frankly I can't work out if the clutch behaviour is low / high or what??? I've been driving for 25+ years doing over 25,000 miles a year for the past 3 without stalling but I've ?stalled this car 20+ times in the past 3 days including 5 times where I have to manually restart the car. I've never owned a diesel before and initially put it down to this but reading this thread I'm not to sure. I can't workout where the clutch actually engages, as soon as I touch the clutch the maxidot gear inidicator shows no gear but there appears to be a low biting point from engine noise but no movement ?is this due to hill hold. The car has stalled with the clutch at least partially depressed and moving, in general the car chugs in first or reverse gear in an agricultural way. I have just tried disabling the stop start and suddenly it seems to be a different car so much happier at low speeds. Is this normal behaviour for this engine or has there been some software "tweak" for the MY16 desiels which is causing this??
  23. Err I was quoting the price of the aftermarket solutions I'd thought of buying. £39 wouldn't cover the cost of the fuel or draining and certainly not the cost of clearing up the damage (post my Basil Fawlty impression after discovering the error).
  24. Any updates on this topic? TMWNA how are the MTecs H15's going? Online there seems variable reviews of their longevity. They also seem to just fall outside the UK allowable K level 4300 vs 4200 (is this marked on them?), the supplier TMWNA used will no longer sell to UK but still sells to rest of Europe. Supposedly Osram Cool Blues will be available in H15 by September, I may just wait for these if reports on the other options aren't great.
