  1. Hello 5678 i have a 2m long Thule roofbox and I don't find it too long. It's 80cm wide meaning I still have space on the Skoda bars for 2 additional skis. Were I to buy a new box I would maybe get a slightly shorter one but higher for added flexibility. I'm traveling at the moment so can't link a photo but there is a Thule tread here with pictures of my setup. Take care.
  2. Thank you for your input TruckbusUK. The roof basket would be used for camping trips and would hold our (large) tent and some additional stuff which I plan to put un aluminium cases. The idea is to offload the trunk. I think in our case the weight is a non-issue. Rain won't be such an issue as we would use it mainly in summer and/or heading south. We also have a Thule box, though not as high as your 800 and therefore not as practical. As for the noise… Take care.
  3. Good morning, I'm interested in purchasing a roof basket for our Yeti. I've been looking at theses two models from Thule: Trail (M or L) and the Canyon XT. Does anybody have any experience with either of these? If so, how's the noise? Photos would be great. The Canyon is cheaper, less elegant bust seems more versatile. Thanks.
  4. mNo problem. If I was to buy a new one I would choose a higher (taller?) model as this one fills up quickly when going skiing with 2 kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hi TR7Driver I don't have a specific model number to give you, I'm afraid. It's a Thule Spirit, 78cm wide and 200cm long. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Roofbox

I measured my Thule roofbox (pictured above) and it's 2m long, 13cm short of 7 feet. Quite close, I would say ;-)Hope this helps.

    Roofbox

Here's my Thule on the Yeti. I've no idea how long it is (180 - 190cm) but it fits perfectly (it bends the aerial when installed) and I could very well imagine fitting a longer box... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Here's our Yeti last week, at almost 2000m altitude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. ...and I'm still able to fit a wide Thule roofbox and a Thule Snowpack 7322! ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I went for the Skoda bars as I found the generic Thule ones stuck out too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sunroof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I tried the low profile Thule bars (sorry, I don't remember the model) and when opening the sunroof, it would hit the claws of the attached roof box. Needless to say I returned them and got the original Skoda ones.
  13. Nissan Qashqai - nice but worried the design wouldn't age well. Audi Q3 - too expensive. Mazda CX-5 - no sunroof. VW Tiguan - design needs a refresh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
