Yep. They're cracking cars. I had a octavia vRS on order, but cancelled it due to customer service I had from Skoda. So my fabia vRS is what I have currently. Mine will be gone in December. Deciding between a CLA 45, Golf R or Seat Leon Cupra 290

I've got an Octavia vrs 230, and i looked at some quotes about a month ago and they seem fine, I just did a check today seeing this post and I've noticed a drastic increase also of around 400-500 per year. Manic.

Car is in the garage, the technician took the car home and it didn't go off, he's taking it home tonight also. I will be gutted if it does not go off as it's gone off 12 times in the past week. This is so frustrating. They wont replace any parts unless they can see it fault.. Even though I showed them a video

Got a 2014 plate fabia vRS, 18000 miles. Noticed recently when pulling away and the gear changing from first to second it makes a noticeable loud knock, all other gears are fine. Noise happens when in sport or manual when it's changing from 1st to 2nd Any ideas?

Surly the exhaust must make the same note, just doesn't make the pop noise?

Thanks, I understand now. Got call from Skoda. I should have a build date end of this month.. So who knows could be week 33!

Does the exhaust sound good btw? All the ones on YouTube are DSG and can't stand the fart noises

So today, I thought I would test drive a seat Leon cupra 290 and boy was it amazing... I'm in two minds now, though the difference between the Octavia is that the cupra is much faster, actually sounds pretty good, and it doesn't rattle! Which is a breath of fresh air as my Fabia rattles all the time and look like it's made from spaghetti. Really not sure. I placed the order a few weeks back, now I just need to wait. I've been given 1st September but from what you guys have been saying regarding the dates and that you ordered before me. It has put me off

It actually saddens me knowing orders are being cancelled due to the ridiculous wait times.. I am experiencing multiple issues with Skoda at the moment for different stories yet I am buying another car because I love the brand. Yet they're being complete assholes. It's unfair. As I said, sales manager, branch manager and sales exec all said I'll get it 1st September. If this changes, I will demand money off, else they'll loose me as a customer also.

Oh yeah, if they say it's not ready on the 1st even though they've committed to it and they seem really keen to get it in for that date I will look at cancelling, if I have to wait. I will try and see if they can knock 1k off the car else I'm going else where. Bye Skoda

I've just spoken to Skoda & my order has been accepted by the Factory on the 28th May, and delivery is scheduled for 1st September.

Oh right, I ordered mine at Jardine Motors / Lancaster Milton Keynes. I do not have a build date.

When did you place the order / who told you? I placed an order for one of these on 28th of May and my order form and was told by Sales guy and Sales Manager that mine will be here for 1st September?

What are the limitations to it? Skoda say theirs is better but not sure really what they both cover. Though I got a quote for 169 on a new octavia vRS Though the website doesn't look great, if you have gone through for it must be worth while..?
