  1. Hi does yr sunroof completely open via the fob (mine just tilts)? regards n
  2. Get the sub first, get used to it (and get the levels right). Then think about if its worth changing the speakers. I was considering changing the speakers as well, but the sub makes such a diff that I gave up on that idea. I listen to a variety of music from orchestral to rap and it all sounds immensely better with more powerful bass. The door speakers can then handle the mid an HF much more effectively. The Pioneer 610 sub is now back to 155+postage on Ebay. n
  3. Went for the Pioneer 610 as recommended - £165 + £100 to fit. Sounds great but haven't quite had time to sort levels out properly. Just checked the same Ebay site and noticed the sub is now £526! Wow - inflation in Germany is obv a problem! thanks for recommendations N Derby UK
  4. Great ta. Just need to find an installer in Derby now Dont suppose any recommendations from any lurkers??
  5. thanks guys - that's useful info Just with an eye to the future as its a new car and aim to keep for 3 years, how easy is it to uninstall (esp) the remote. Realize the sub will just unplug but will there be wiring dangling somewhere? By the driver cubby you mean the pulldown drawer on the r, next to my knee - the one that I swear at every time I leave open and scrape my knee on?
  6. Hi Jake Which active sub did you fit in the end - the KENWOOD KSC-SW01? Saw this one for 115 which seems good value. But does it fit under the seat as seems people are going for the boot (I have the estate) cheer n Derby
  7. update: borrowed a friends Samsung Galaxy S5 tonight synchronized contacts and BT all seemed to work fine. think I'll get one now!
  8. Hi Was looking to upgrade phone (from Iphone 4) to the Samsung Galaxy S5. Just picked up a new Superb Elegance 140. Saw some users having issues with the contact list on the Columbus using bluetooth - is this all users? Is the S4 sim affected? No probs at mom with Iphone (300+ contacts on phone) Cheers N
  9. thanks, agree that does look good value but still a little concerned that it will involve someone (not me!) interfacing the cambus which 2 Skoda dealers have told me will invalidate the warranty - on a brand new car not sure I want to risk it.
  10. thanks for info the visuals arent so important I agree. If I just go for the sound feedback doesnt that still need canbus interface (to detect speed). Alternatively surely a button to activate must be possible??
  11. Hi peeps, newbie on here. About to pick my new Superb 2L 140 estate at weekend having got bored with my 320d. Loved the superb when I test drove it. My parking skills are zilch (I blame it on only being able to see thr one eye and just cant judge distances!) and am somewhat anxious I'll clip something in front. Seriously wished I had gone for the front parking sensors but too late now. I know there are a few people who will fit (and interface into the columbus) the front sensors but the dealer said this would invalidate the warranty. Anyone know if this is the case (and any recommendations). Have had quotes of £600ish which is pretty eye-watering but I guess it is a fair amount of work. Any help? cheers n Derby UK
