Hello, I'm after a good quality dashcam that records continuously so if i park my car somewhere it would still record. I'm saying that because i know most of them record before and after an impact etc and i just need one that will be recording constantly and has good quality. It will be connected to my lighter socket which has constant power even when the car is off. Just need some suggestions of make and model of dashcams please. Thanks

Hm not good, i can't remember when i did mine but it might be worth doing another coat if they start rusting. I've kept the paint, just a hassle getting the wheels off

When did you paint them? I've painted mine with hammerite as well a while ago and no rusting just yet.

Thanks, it does look good. Was it any normal gloss black spray paint or did you have to match the colour? Also how did you get the front grill off to do it? Or did you leave it on?

Hi, love the build so far! How did you get the metallic glossy black look on the front grill? Mine is like a matt black finish and think it would look better glossy, did you just spray paint it, or?

That's good to know, really enjoying my car atm until some scum put a coupke of screws through my tyre...thinking of changing my air filter next and hopefully that will make it run even better

It is possible to record from outside of the car as the camera will be pointing directly into the car park. Trouble is if the car sees like a dark figure or someone masked doing it, would that be insufficient evidence as you won't be able to see their face? As to staying in the car, i'm pretty sure the person doing it is doing it either because of jealousy, racism or just because i'm driving a newer car then them and i'm 21 and doing alright for myself and they're just lazy drips and got nothing going for themselves so they want to put other people down

And pkoconnor thanks for that, thinking of installing a cctv camera and maybe linking it to an ipad or iphone and also looking at a live dash cam that will record all night but not sure if ones like that exist?

I've been on the internet for the last 2 hours trying to find some sort of camera that i can mount in my car that will give me live footage on a laptop or phone for example and also record on its own overnight so i can forward it in the morning and see what i have recorded, is there something like this out there that i can buy?

Yeah but which one? I'm clueless about dash cams etc so after some advice. Also any advice on what i can do? I've contacted the police and will be contacting the housing association but is there anything else i can do?? Please i need some suggestions, i'm fuming

Absolutely fuming, really really want to know who is doing this and have contacted the police numerous times and there's nothing they can do without evidence. Next step is installing CCTV and dashcams in my and other half's car and also parents' cars but can someone help and suggest something within budget and reliable that can record all night and has very good quality, i need to find out who is doing this because **** is going to hit the fan real soon

Sometimes i feel like my monte tsi feels a lot quicker than other times. Also feels very quick for a 1.2 and have heard that a few of the montes have been known to produce up to 120bhp from tock (105tsi version). Really does make me love my car even more haha. Also how many horses do you think the car loses as the years go? Mine has just done 11000 miles or around that so do you reckon i've lost a couple of horses?

I've turned mine off, they're not LED so look a bit pants imo. Also looked a bit pants when i changed them to LED bulbs so i just turned them off completely. Prefer the vRS ones but oh well.

Which part exactly is the "sock", i might try it. And does removing it decrease the effectiveness of the air filter at all?
