  1. Thank you so much for all the answers! I managed to use your advice and I have returned my Fabia to car dealer I've bought it from for a full refund (well excluding 80 pound but this is due to the mileage I've done while having it 2,000) It was hard to give it back as honestly, I have no idea whether I've made the right choice as many people say it should work fine even when the light is on. Truth is, the dealer replaced 2 parts (Lambda and EGR valve) and the light was still on, I don't thin the emission could possibly be affected in any sort of way but still, this light is a HUGE PAIN IN THE A**. Once again, thank you!
  2. I'm owner of Skoda Fabia which was sold to me with a hidden foult (EML came on 1 hour after the purchase). Car dealer did 3 repairs, he replaced EGR valve, cleaned some pipses and replaced Sonda Lambda.. The problem is still there, I want a refund but he tells me there was no warranty given and he did all the repairs in the act of a good will and won't accept the car back. The question is whether the law is on my side or not? I did a little research on the problem and some of the articles say that he should accept it. Did anyone had any experience with it? Please help!
  3. I didn't get a warranty from the dealer, but after a little research I found out that a car dealer registered to the HPI (some sort of car dealers association) has to make sure cars are up to a certain standard which means I kinda forced him to do it for me.. That's what I thought as well, the guy did the diagnosis but he used his own device which to me seemed a little rubbish. Right now I'm having a e-mail discussion with him, trying to convince gim to give me a full refund, but I don't think he will agree to it. I might as well do the diagnosis with a professional. To be honest with you I haven't noticed any change qith regards to driving or pertol consumption. To me it stays the same, the strange thing to me is that after a part is being replaced the problem disapears for a few days but then it comes back, do you think this might indicate that the ECU is to sensitive? If the light stays on and I take it to the MOT but the problem will be the ECU will it pass it or not? EGR and Lambda were replaced, if it turns out these weren't the right things, what else could it be? Thanks for your messages!
  4. Hello, I'm a (happy) owner of a Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v Comfort. The problem I'm experiencing is the EML light that keeps coming on. I have bought this car from a car dealer, approx 2 hours after the purchase the EML light came on. Contacted the dealer straightaway, he took it to the garage which resulted in EGR valve being replaced. LIGHT WAS OFF but only for about 3 hours.. okaay. contacted the guy again, he then took it to the garage and I was told that the pipes that go to the EGR valve were cleaned. This time the problem was gone for about 3 days. Again, I took the car to the guy and this time he replaced Lambda Sensor, problem was gone for about a week but guess what happened today? Yes, you are right, the light came on again. I have no idea what else can I do, car dealer won't give me a refund and this little Skoda is the biggest pain in the a** you can possibly imagine. Any advices, experience with this sort of problems?
