  1. hi all just returned to skoda buying a monte carlo estate 110 come from 3 EV's so hoping economy is decent i recall my spaceback being great on fuel moving house and renovating so need something practical anybody know if these are the correct fit for a monte carlo estate http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-III/Fabia-III-Combi-original-Skoda-mud-flaps-REAR
  2. the thing that bothers me is both my cars traded in were nearly new and sold in a few days so at least two cars sold under manufacturer approved used scheme sold with outstanding finance which manufacturer approved used is supposed to guarantee the buyer is protected from! think ill give the dealer/skoda finance till monday then ill report the car stolen that will get em moving
  3. dont think banks do 0% finance ? 2nd time in 2 months its happened to me which makes me think its an industrywide tactic? take a trade in say they will settle finance and only settle once they have sold your car hence the reason ive just bought a VW Up for cash dont trust finance only used it to take advantage of free servicing and being 0% i could keep my money in the bank wanted a citigo montecarlo but dealers just weren't interested in selling me one so ive bought a year old rock up
  4. hi all a heads up if you or know someone who has bought this car can you tell them that the car has outstanding finance as blade skoda have failed to settle my agreement when i traded the car in june am about to start proceedings so the car could get repossessed *mods remove if breaking rules*
  5. shocking company id advise avoiding here's my story 1st june i traded a pristine Rapid Spaceback in only 3 months old as i needed an auto citigo for my father in law gave me an ok trade in price till i showed up where they screwed me over leaving me in negative . i needed the citigo and it was closest asg i could find so proceeded with deal . i paid cash for the citigo and dealer was supposed to settle finance on the rapid when i collected the citigo it was in a state scratched and scuffed with no effort to rectify im sure they were not there when i viewed the car initially maybe the fact they shoved it through an auto car wash was the culprit that was the extent of there preperation. i was assured the finance would be settled straight away and the payment id just made would be refunded along with a partial refund on the gap policy checking my account i notice on july 1st another payment goes out of my bank account i call skoda finance to find out why to be told finance is still live . i immediately call blade and get told there had been a problem settling didnt tell me what it was but assured me it would be settled in full that day and id be called if there was an issue called skoda finance on the 10th july finance still live no payment received or pending so i call dealer again nobody can tell me why its still not settled assure me ill get a call 1st thing this morning . No call so i phone get told its been requested to accounts not sure why ill have to wait till monday not happy at all and not happy they have sold the car already so someone has bought my car with outstanding finance owing contradicting there approved used guarantee ive contacted skoda uk today to see if they can find out
  6. strange i was in market for another citigo but the online quotes were cheaper for a street up than monte carlo ? must be the 0% deal
  7. yeah it was only 3 months old so should get something back do you contact vwfs ?
  8. Just had to get rid of the rapid spaceback after just 3 months as it was bought purely to get my disabled father in law out and about but hes decided he want to drive again . chopped it in to clear finance and bought him a used Citigo SE ASG got to say the ASG is quite pleasant to drive . the car is fine now ive cleaned and detailed it properly i cant believe the dealer just shoved it through a car wash it had numerous scuffs and scrapes not bothered to sort out and they nicked the spare wheel and lied about trade in on my rapid doubt ill be back but it was nearest asg and reasonable price polished 2 bad scuffs out with my dodo juice DA polisher and autoglym restoration kit will sort the others out when my touch up arrives anyway gonna try skoda uk for the free service deal as i picked up yesterday and hoping they relent on the 4 day deal considering ive bought 2 new skodas in the last 8 months and paid for servicing pack on both but not used really want another citigo myself now but may end up with an up! as seems better deals on them for some reason?
  9. lightly used good as new set of four £25 delivered would swap for a chromecast if anyone has one by any chance
  10. well after 3 months my spaceback has gone i got it just to get my disabled father in law out and about but he then decided he wanted to drive himself again so ive chopped it in and cleared my finance and bought him a used citigo asg was a great car but id forgot just how awsome the citigo is made me want one again quick question i took out the gap insurance anyone know if i can claim anything back ? oh and a set of rubber mats in the for sale section
  11. Have you driven a DSG ? I had one in an A3 and it was horrible wouldn't have once again unless I needed auto I doubt you'll get anywhere near the book mpg tbh
  12. Just done my 1000 Used the satnav for first time today on trip to Plymouth made me laugh out loud "Follow this road for a long time"
  13. Mines a 15 plate so should be ok then I've noticed a little dribble of water if I open back door after washing it I do get condensation on windscreen my citigo did as well
  14. If you keep it in excellent condition as most people on a car forum probably do and the mileage is at or below the agreed amount you should have a chunk of equity over the ballon payment amount to use as a deposit against a new car The figure is the lowest the car will be worth in average condition within the agreed mileage which they calculate
  15. He's not rejecting the car it's been rejected and that should be it there should be no financial penalty for negative equity or any sort of impact on his credit rating. There are only two options I'd be accepting 1. You walk away with no penalty whatsoever 2. You have the green spaceback that you mention with no further costs your end whatever the price disparity that would be some compensation for there ineptitude . If they don't accept these options I'd seriously consider legal action against Skoda/vwfs
