  1. A word of warning from my experience, last year 60 plate Yeti 1.2 SE, mileage approximately 37,000 miles. Regularly serviced during three years of ownership with non Skoda dealer Cam chain failure, a very expensive episode and very inconvenient I will always follow recommendations 😢 It's your choice, follow recommendations or risk it 🤨

    Warning ?

Garage told me to ignore it until next service in June, sounds like it wasn't reset properly after its last service

    Dashcam

I recently had my Yeti serviced by my local Skoda dealer, I was fortunate enough for them to pick up and return as part of the service, I have a dashcam fitted which plugs into the lighter plug, upon return I later found the camera had been unplugged and left unplugged until I checked the next day. There was no evidence of the journey from my home up to return. Now I have not raised this with the dealer yet, is there a set protocol for garage employees who drive customer cars with dashcams or anything else which I should be aware of? Also if my insurance includes the use of a dashcam and an accident occurs will there be repercussion's ?
  10. I wonder how much profit is in a sale for them
  11. Yes TruckbusUK , confirmed will read texts aloud but need to input reply manually which is basically pointless in my opinion as for the manual, I'll give it a miss after browsing for a short time :-(
  12. I have a Samsung J5 it connects ok to my SE Drive and works fine using the phone as normal However I also use my phone on a Honda Jazz and when connected any Text messages received it offers to read out and then send a reply Can this be done on my Yeti, if so how?

    Roof bars

    Price has increased £58.89
  16. Hi everyone, Just received an offer from Simpsons on the new Koroq So I thought it may be of interest for discussion http://www.simpsonsskoda.co.uk/pch-offers/karoq-se-tech/
  17. Apologies for late update to this thread, only this morning I called in to the garage where I purchased the Yeti who also installed the roof bars The technician could not remove them initially so took the car into the workshop and discovered that whoever installed them did not follow the instructions, When screwing the bolts to mount the roof bar brackets onto the rail they did so with the bar bracket in place hence securing the bracket to the rails therefore there was no chance of removing the roof bars as per instructions. He had to loosen the bolts to release the mounts from the rail, then secured the bolts onto the rail for future mounting. I hope that explains why I couldn't remove the bars, to be honest I was beginning to feel a bit of a plum, however all is good, pity I had to go back to the dealer
  18. Thanks for the offer pinkpanther, Lincoln could be some distance from you, I will have to go back to Grimsby and let the dealer resolve the issue, Thanks to all for your suggestions, good to know support is out there Allan
  19. Not 2 files, here is the last,
  20. Yes I have the instructions, 2 more files to follow
  21. Thanks Llanigraham I followed your instructions BUT I was not able to lift or slide the bars away from the fixture It appears I will have to go back to the garage for them to deal with :-(
  22. Update These Bars are original Skoda Bars purchased with Yeti and fitted by the garage. It appears you need to take off the outer covers, Flip the red handles to release the black handle, Then undo the two securing bolts on each fitting I am awaiting the garage to get back to me after Skoda Technical can confirm which size allen key is required (not supplies with kit) to be used on bolts supplied to mount and dismount the Bars, However I am not yet convinced it is an allen key I did get a manual with the bars however the instructions were in my opinion very poor and for a tool not to be included is penny pinching considering the asking price.
  23. I recently purchased a 2017 Yeti and ordered some roof bars which were installed by the garage, I am somewhat confused on how to remove them. Could some one please explain what is required and the process Thanks in anticipation
  24. Hi everyone, we have ordered a demo model of the Yeti Drive thankfully with a generous discount, I have been a Lurker on this forum for about three years mainly to assist my daughter who had a Fabia until being written off over a year ago and then moving onto a Yeti, thus my interest grew. I previously owned an Audi A2 Tdi for nearly 13 years and benefited from using the A2oc forum similar to this website, I pick up my Yeti next month and look forward to a similar interest with this site
