  1. I have Petrol Blue because when I bought my car it was literally the only 'colour' available. At least there's a red and a green now!
  2. That's true, but I bought mine two years ago so it wasn't facelifted but wasn't run off either.
  3. I got £8k off my 220 L&K through a broker, I would hope you can get at least as much off a Skoda as you can off a VW.
  4. I used ACF-50 anti-corrosion spray on the window trim of my Mk2 Superb. It leaves it looking nice but it's only temporary.
  5. My low coolant light came on a couple of months ago (with the car having done perhaps 25k miles). I called Skoda and they sent a Skoda Assist van to my house to top it up with the correct coolant. Level hasn't moved since.
  6. This article suggests the Superb Scout won't be coming to the UK. Shame, it looks good. Has anyone else heard the same?
  7. I might be wrong here, but I believe a Sportline with DCC has the same suspension as any other Superb with DCC, and actually rides a little higher than a Sportline without DCC.
  8. On my car the rear washer is hopeless when moving but it just about does the job when stationary. I just have to remember to wash the window at the start/end of a journey. It's a fan jet that covers one half of the rear screen - is that what others have?
  9. I had a Mk2 Superb with the 1.8TSI DSG. It was smooth, quiet and plenty quick enough. I would have happily bought a 1.4 DSG in my Mk3 if they offered it in L&K trim. Of course, if you're OK with the noise of a diesel it will be quicker and more economical though.
  10. Can anyone comment after changing to different tyres? I wonder if some of the difficulty pulling away is just the weird throttle mapping that gives you nothing...nothing...too much.
  11. Somewhere in VCDS you can set it to lock when you walk away, but as with the Mazda it won't deadlock.
  12. I find the camera useful for seeing what's directly behind the car, but I'm still getting the hang of using it to manoeuvre. The angle of view is very wide, and the resolution is terrible in low light. Still money well spent though in my opinion. I also has an extra-wide mode that can see almost 180 degrees, useful if you've driven into a parking space forwards.
  13. I'd say there is at least 25mm of space all the way around the tyre in the wheel well so diameter should be OK. As Gizmo says you would need to raise the boot floor by 10mm.
  14. I have an MY18 L&K and I can close the boot from the fob as long as I'm very close to the car.
  15. There is an option in the 'parking' menu for the sensors to automatically activate if you drive close to an object forwards at low speed. That sounds like a good idea, but I find the sensors keep activating when I don't want them to on busy, narrow roads. I've tried turning the option off, but it seems to turn on again automatically the next time I start the engine. Has anyone managed to get their car to remember this setting?
  16. Yes, mine will resist if I pull out tight behind someone who has just passed me.
  17. I don't have the variable floor, so my boot floor is about 5 inches below the boot lip.
  18. My tank takes 70 litres if the range is just about down to zero
  19. I think the dealer's option 3 is wrong. I definitely have a 205 width spare wheel under the normal boot floor in a MY18 car.
  20. That's interesting. I tried setting drive = eco in individual mode and it still started in D1. Did your change anything else?
  21. I've never found a way. The same goes for E1, E2, etc unless you switch out of Eco mode and back in again.
  22. I do 15,000 miles a year in a 220, with mpg currently around 36 on mixed motorways and dual carriageways. The 280 has 4x4 and shorter gearing so I would expect a few mpg less.
  23. Mine started on 20k, so you are asking a sensible question.
  24. This Variable servicing is variable, hopefully the interval will increase if you do a few long motorway journeys.
  25. Ok, this depends what you mean by a full size spare. I have the normal boot floor with a 205 width spare wheel underneath. That's not technically full size because the tyres on the car are 235 width, but it's also not the (I think) 135 width space saver that skoda offer.
