Dealership can't replicate the issue. They say car is fine. Škoda factory said, that theres no issue with the car and it's not common issue.

Was already at the dealer once. They couldn't replicate the issue as always.

Hello. Asking help for my friend. He bought brand new scala. (1.0 dsg) and he have been experiencing some issues with the engine. When starting the car, it sounds like the starter motor cant turn on the engine, or the starter motors stays on. It usually happens when the engine is warm and the issue is intermittent. Hey. Dads fabia got back from dealership yesterday. Usual service. Service guy noticed couple of things. Two ac hoses are leaky, interior fan is squealing, couple of bushings need to be replaced soon on front drivetrain. As i understand that for fan replacement the whole dash has to come out. But what about ac hoses? Dealer quoted 700 euros for replaceing those two hoses. Seems little bit steep to me. Dad said that ac stoped blowing cold. He went to ac service and technician said there were somewhere small leak, but he couldn't find it (he used color dye and uv lamp for finding leak). After that ac has been working fine. Those ac hoses are oem part only? Have to replace whole hose or is it possible to swap out parts of it? I will add pictures.

Does anyone have any info about performance of the LED headlights in dark ? Better than xenons ?

Since FL Octy can be ordered with LED headlights, it makes me wonder where does LED stand lets say compared to Xenon headlamps ? Illuminate better ? Same ? Worse ?

I Dont know, is it just me or i just start liking that front end more and more.

Comby with 1,8 DSG here cost 24300 Euros (Elegance) Not too expensive considering the kit what comes with the car. Also i would consider new FL golf, but the prices arent available yet.

Since ive owned vw golf sv for over 2 years now and more and more times i need an estate for my cycling. FL octy seems reasonable. Also we have some nice superb offers here. Would consider Elegance (SE-L in uk?). Granted superb have Xenons, instead of octys LED-s (But no clue how they perform, better or same or worse then xenons). Also Octy have 9,2 inch navigation while Superb comes with 8 inch max, but its just 1,2 inch difference. Planning to switch the car around summer or end of the summer. Will see whats the market is like then. Also octy will come with virtual Display ive heard ? I mean octy front looks little bit like meh. But hey. When you drive, you dont see your cars front area anyway

Quick question guys, My golf have Bolero. But without mirrorlink. Can i take the car to dealer to activate it or is it not possible ? Want to mirror the satnav from the phone to bolero.

Ive done some researche and it seems yes that its "Liquid sealant". Car is booked for winter tire change on the dealer and ill ask them what should be done. I mean its not leaking badly. Just bi "wet" nothing else.

Hey So my dad told me today that his fabia (2010 - 1.2 55kw HTP) engine is bit oily. Leak is not the mayor one. Just a tad bit. I add picture where i circle where the leak is. Would be awsome if someone can tell whats the part name where the leak is and probably the seal number or something. And what it is to change it (Hard/easy, labour intensive etc)

Well took deliver for a new octavia mk3 at the 2014 november. Took off from the dealer. And immideatly noticed that the steering wheel is out of alignment. Was way to the left. The car did not pull to left or right tho. Dealer did a wheel alignment. 3 months later got into accident. Luckyl everybody were fine. But the hit come from left front corner. Resulting 4 new airbags, new dashboard, new seatbelts, new headlamps, new pumper, new wing and other stuff. Total cost of repair was 14000 euros. Wasnt a writeoff sadly. Did trade info for new Golf SV which i have currently. Second day into the ownership all kinds of errors popped up. Turns out to be Steering rack fault. Was replaced under warranty on the first month of the ownership. Last saturday lost the power steering on the motorway while doing 110km/h when taking over a car. Me and steering wheels ay Call it a jinx or a bad luck

Okei. Got back from the dealer. Somehow the readings for the power steering module went totally wrong and it stop working. They said they did calibration (?) and the software update for the steering wheel. Will see

Will pop in to my local dealer tomorrow. Indeed its critical safety problem. It happened on a straight road, but what if it would have happened on a twisty backroad or something. Would have end up on a ditch. And it was incredibly hard to steer the car on the side of the road. Even with some speed. Steering was really hard. Like trying to turn the wheels while stationary.
