  1. Not too concerned, just thought I would put it out there for comment.
  2. Hi Guys, Thanks for responses, Never use pressure washers, and to be honest the vehicle is used regularly despite the monsoon season recently experienced, so appears trapped. Actually reluctant to silicone around badges as tyre balancing requires removing them, which might be then difficult. Guess I will live with it?
  3. Hi Guys, Just had the rear wheels off on my 2.0 4x4 and had the usual cold welded alloy to steel problem, however what concerned me was the amount of water that appeared to be trapped behind the centre of the wheel decal badge. There was quite a bit in both wheels and has certainly caused the centre bolt head to rust quite a lot. Anyone else experienced this and what's the cure, thought about removing decals and refitting with bit of silicone sealant. ?
  4. Glad you got the ordering sorted, with me the spraying initially worked ok, then it played up again and got me so frustrated I cracked the plastic top of the switch with pushing it. Not looked back since replacing it. Good luck
  5. Start-Stop-Spinac (not sure what a Spinac is?), but this is the box!
  6. Hi, Only too glad to help, the part number on box is 3T0905217CWHS Start-Stop Switch, paid about £32, from TPS Poole, genuine parts supplier (branches Nationwide I believe). I resisted changing it until it was absolutely necessary. Good Luck
  7. Just for Clarity, my guide refers to the Engine Start/Stop Round button switch mounted in the lower cowl of the steering column, where an ignition key would normally be found. Standard fitment on certain models at the time (keyless ignition). Removing the chrome outer ring and a liberal spraying through the holes with contact cleaner briefly helped, but I replaced switch in the end.
  8. Couldn't find procedure for start/stop engine switch replacement on Yeti, however this might be useful to others. Problem was start/stop switch was intermittent, spraying with contact cleaner worked but not for long. The steering cowl is in two halves, drop steering wheel to lowest position and prize off top one by hand or aided with blade between halves. Lift up out of the way which is restricted by fabric cover. Remove torx t25 screw underneath lower cowl and then remove two more screws that are exposed fully when steering wheel is rotated through 90 degrees left and right. With screws removed lower cowl can be dropped down and access to the switch to be replaced is now easily possible. Undo plug with locking tag and push switch out. Reverse procedure to reassemble. Good luck !!
  9. Hi, On my 2014 Yeti I used G060 175 A2, no filters, bit fiddly used a large syringe. Spoke to Skoda UK, confirmed no filters. Good luck
  10. Hi Guys, Thankyou for your replies, the situation is having obtained several wildly different prices for doing the Haldex oil change from Skoda dealers, the conclusion having looked at the rear diff myself and talking to Skoda UK who were very helpful, concluded that there is no filter to replace and the operation is simply to replace the oil. I have identified the filling and drain plugs, both of which are accessible without to much stress. I may use a large syringe to refill oil once drained, as the filling hole is a bit awkward.
  11. I have a 2014 Yeti 2.0 140bhp 4x4 "Tour D France" and am getting complete confused regards the Haldex oil change in the back axle. The car has now covered 30,000 miles and I believe the Haldex oil should be changed ? Two questions, can I do it myself as I am quite hands on and secondly, which is giving me headaches, is there also a Haldex filter to change or not ?, there are so many conflicting reports and I would like a definitive answer. Thank you in advance.
  12. Got the little B......d !!, perseverance paid off without removing caliper. Many thanks for all help and advise.
  13. Good idea, might try airline, it is amazing how the stone got in there in the first place, a real puzzle, can't see anywhere big enough for it to come out without removing caliper. Just need the torque setting for the caliper carrier for the reassembly.
  14. Yes I tried the reversing thing but no luck, I removed the wheel and can see it but have had no luck in getting it out, it just rattles about at slow speed driving me mad !!!
  15. Hi Guys, I have what can be called a "pain in the butt" small stone rattling around trapped between the front disc and tin backplate on my Yeti 4x4. Having spent a long time with various tools to try and release it I have come to the conclusion I need to remove caliper to gain better access. Can anybody out there tell me the correct torque of the two caliper holding bolts as I am having trouble finding the figure. Anybody else had this extremely annoying problem ??
