  1. I went back and forth with customer services on this after having the unit replaced 3 times. It now seems it will not work with anything newer than an Iphone 6 - even those are hit and miss. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
  2. If they ever do I'll be amazed. I essentially want a refund for the PID as its not fit for purpose.
  3. been dealing with VW customer care about this since December mate, no joy. I'm on my fourth PID now and its pretty much useless with my 6s. Utter crap.
  4. Well had my PID returned yesterday by the grumpiest and seemingly angriest person in the world. No clue if it works yet but not holding any hope for it. Thats near enough 3 months to the day they have had it.
  5. I thought it was just me. Had a nightmare over my citigo and the sat nav/bluetooth system. Less than useless and argumentative regarding complaints, having been awaiting its return for 2 months now. I'm off to ford or mercedes again after this one and it wont be a parks garage.
  6. Well as a wee update Skoda UK customer service have had my PID for over a fortnight now and are telling me there is nothing wrong with the unit and that it is not compatible with any Iphones newer than an Iphone 5. Bit wierd since I had a 5s when I bought it originally and it worked fine with that and my wife's Iphone 6. Fun fun fun
  7. Yeah I saw the battery fault post but the car and unit are still under warranty. If it was an older unit I'd just do that but I don't want to mess up the warranty.
  8. I'm now on my 4th PID in 2 years. Now dealing with VAG customer services about it. Unit is not capable of performing the tasks its advertised as doing. Was actually thinking of trading in against a Kodiaq next year when my deal is up but this has been annoying enough to put me off Skoda/VAG cars.
  9. Mine is going back in for the unit doing the same as above. Been in for issues with the PID 4 times now and had a few different units. WIsh I'd never bothered it now,
  10. Ever ridden a bike mate? If that was done by a footrest they would have gotten other marks all over the car with the bars at least. Also would had a nightmare getting off the bike. If it was the sidestand they wouldn't have got off the bike. You sure it wasn't a feral trolley? Looks more like the bumper bar part at ankle height hit it to me
  11. Seem to have solved the random switching between sources by doing a factory reset on the pid and switching off auto connect and auto play in the phone menu. Been ok for a few days now touch wood. Now to get the radio reception sorted.
  12. Update: Went in for the 2nd time just before Christmas. Dab radio fitted foc as it was advertised as having it and it didn't = cool. PID replaced after technician came for a drive with me and witnessed the issues. Still having problems with the stereo jumping randomly to aux and media from the radio and now the radio reception is utterly useless. Awaiting callback for a third attempt to sort it but I've already mentioned rejecting the car to Skoda UK and it might have to come to that. Annoyed is not the bloody word.
  13. They fitted the highway one to my black edition foc. Great wee unit, loving teamrockradio when I get a signal.
  14. I'd be up for that buddy if you could pm me the details and price
  15. According to the software I got online when I connect the system it is up to date. I heard back from Skoda UK though - its going in on Friday for retrofit DAB and another look/replacement PID hopefully.
