  1. Mixed bag experience here. Bought a Scout advertised as havin 6 Cd, when i got home to N wales... It didnt. Asked them what could be done as it wasnt as advertised, basic answer was "tough, read the ad smallprint, spec may not match" system fault and i should have checked the spec before buying. My argument was that their system made the mistake and therefore it was overpriced. I paid for 6Cd, they thought it was a 6cd too and priced accordingky when selling it, they even suggested i look under the seat for it and just "put more cds in the slot" when i first questioned. after lots ofback and forth all they would iffer was to Sell me a head unit at cost. Id have to pay fot it and fitting. Coulnt see why i should pay more for what we both thought i was buying in the 1 st place. No budging. They were always nice, but did make me feel that once my £11k was in their hands they couldnt be bothered with me. After sales have been better customer service but still not really obliging. The car has developed a clutch fault, one month after buying. An annoying whine when pulling off, and sometimes in changing. Dont realky feel happy spending money on a warrantied car with under 30k on the clock to be told a month in that Clutch is not covered and id have to pay £1000 to "see" if it was just a worn clutch, and tgen not under warranty. Once again, nice enough people but put me iff Skoda in general. Gutted, my 1st Skoda and i love the car 99%of the time. Garage gets 4 out if 10 from me.
  2. Hi all. Im new, please be gentle. Anyone used the 2nd Cd that comes with the UK maps for the Amundsen? Off to Frace this week, just wondered if it would get me to the Loir avoiding tolls or should I rely on old fashioned co driver? I suppose half the fun is getting lost! Old skool atlas. Any experiences welcomed.
  3. Thanks, been quoted 300 for genuine vw unit as nd fit. Does this sound about right? Or anyone know of good fitters in N Wales? I'm inept with a screwdriver...or trim tool!
  4. Hi all - about to buy a 2011 Scout and from what I can see it doesn't have Bluetooth prep - all that happens is radio mute on phone button. I have read on the forum that bluetooth simply needs to be enabled and mic bought and installed but I am a little confused (easily done!) I assume that the stereo in this car (says amudsen not amudsen+) (please correct me) this will be the RNS 310 (amudsen) rather than the 315 (amudsen+) - I read somewhere that after facelift all were Amudsen not Amudsen+?? If it's the Amudsen (310) This will need an additional BT Module fitted rather than just enabled and mic fitted. Please excuse me and point me in the right direction if this is answered comprehensively anywhere, I have tried to find the relevant topic but the info seems contradictory (some say BT box ith 310 under seat, some say no need etc) Looking forward to getting my 1st skoda and I'd love to know what to "demand" from the dealer regarding this b4 I buy. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a Skoda newbie form N Wales, About to buy a 2011 Octavia Scout (1.8tsi) - the forum has been a great help when choosing so far and I have one big question I can't find an answer for regarding the Amudsen (not+) I assume the 310 not 315 (not sure) I will try and find the relevant forum page to ask. Thanks/Diolch Iwan
