As I finally own my car and the debt has been paid my car budget is a bit more fun Therefore I'm looking into replacing my aftermarket HID setup and go OEM!!! But it's a jungle... I just bought these 18" for my O2 FL:

I just fitted mine a week ago - the renault gas struts and the red springs... Worked fine a couple of days but now it's only every 2. time it pops open! And the boot was hard to close, but now it's a bit more easy... So I don't know if it's because the struts had to be used a couple of times to settle in or if it's the temp. outside - in Denmark its around 10 degrees celcius. The springs also seems a bit less "springy"?! Don't know the correct word for it in English But when it's doesn't open I just have to push very slightly up with one finger, then it pops. So it's not much energy it needs... Hope it helps!

I have a question regarding installation: I just received my 5K slimballast (non canbus) london colour set and I'm confused by the 2 sets of wires on the bulbs? When I look at the installation guide/diagram it looks as set 1 needs to connect to the ballast and then connect the ballast to the original bulb connector. But is this the correct installation? And finally I have the FL 2011 octavia, which coding do I need to do in VCDS? I've been trying to read all posts, but I'm a bit confused by all the suggestions and "it works for me" and then 2 post further down it doesn't work?!? Is it just: byte 14, bit 4 (manually change bit 4 from off to on (from a 0 to 1 - 10000001 to 10010001) Kind regards, Daniel
