What's the hype with the spare? Do you still have many horsecars on the roads leaving a pile of horseshoe nails around? Potholes? How many of you have actually got a flat tyre? Been driving 20 years now and never needed the spare. Maybe tomorrow? There has been nails and screws but nothing dramatic that made me change the tyre on spot. Spare ? Couldn't care less.

UV has very little to do with heating. In terms of energy, sunlight at the earth's surface is around 52 to 55 percent infrared (above 700 nm), 43 to 42 percent visible (400 to 700 nm), and 5 to 3 percent ultraviolet (below 400 nm). If you want to limit the heat intrusion then look for the tints that reflect back most of the infrared.

This one is without bubbles and looks perfect for curvy areas. I'm looking for alternatives as I prefer the car look without the OEM bumper protector and I'm pretty sure the OEM protector gets scratches sooner than later. Once the film or coating gets nasty it is fairly easy to re-apply.

Has anyone considered using film for bumper protection ?
