  1. Ok, guys. Tried to make it with these adapters and it's no way...
  2. Ok, I'll try my luck. Order a set of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15mm-Wheel-adapters-5x112-to-5x120-BMW-wheels-onto-VW-Audi-Two-pairs-/182103181315?hash=item2a66320803:g:spMAAOSwQTVV9WIm Will check the fitment and share the experience here as soon as I get it.
  3. I don't like the idea of machining the rims, as I'm afraid it might loose it's value - It's LeMans after all If I knew the rolling-arches is all I need - I would proceed, but if it's not gonna work, the money for adapters would be wasted. It would be good to base on somebody's similar practice.
  4. Hi, all. I have a set of BBS LM 18x8.5, ET30 from BMW and I want to fit them to my 14' VRS using 15mm wheel adapters, so generally the offset would be +15mm. I wonder if these rims wrapped with 225/40 rubber will fit my Octavia without rubbing the arches? Thanks in advance.
  5. Small update: Yesterday I raised my Octavia by 20mm (I got a WRX STi, so I passed my RS to my wife - she needs more practical stance). And to my big surprise the suspension became much softer than I expected to be. Meanwhile the stance remains decent. So generally it has a 40mm drop and rides softer than STI.
  6. Frod, Stance, mate, stance Toni8b, Thanks. Well I've never tried yet
  7. ))))) Sorry about that I bought it at http://m.tuningteiletotal.de/mob/index.html for ~ 900 euros, but now I see they Bilstein and Eibach kits for eve better pr
  8. So am I. As a matter of fact before going for this kit I read a few reviews saying that these are only slightlly harder than stock ones. But it apperared to be much harder. Of course as I mentioned before roads are very uneven in my country.
  9. So I installed a set of H&R monotube coilovers in to my Octavia MK3 RS and slammed it by 60mm. However there a few extra coils both in the front and in the rear. So it’s possible to drop it by another 10mm. Regarding the comfort, the car became significantly stiffer/harder (at least 30% stiffer than OEM setup) and I can feel all the road roughness. Of course please keep in mind that I drive my car in Lithuania where the public-roads are quite bad. And as a matter of fact I caught myself a few times thinking of installing the OEM kit back. I believe in other countries with better roads (i.e. UK) the stiffness difference would be so noticeable. To have a clear look it’s slightly stiffer than a 2015 Subaru WRX STi. I’m going to reduce the height 40mm and I hope this will make the suspension softer. Handling. The car handles much better in the corners (In some turns I increased my maximum speed by a 20km/h) and the bouncing is eliminated completely. The car is totally different in a good way. I like how these coilovers “works” much more than KW ones. Conclusion: Good performance but only for those having a great endurance
  10. Ok, but how about MOT and Insurance? Does she have UK ones or Portugees? How long does she has UK registered car there?
  11. The reason I want to do this is related with money. In financial way (tax and etc.) it is much better for me to spend the money of the company I run rather than spending my own. I rule the mentioned UK company from Lithuania where I live in. The thing is that it would be very complicated for a UK company to register the car in Lithuania, so it must be done in the UK. This is the reason why I want to register the car in UK. Regarding a UK MOT and VED, due to the law gaps in my country, I don't need such things, unless it terminates the registration automatically?
  12. Hi, mates. Sorry for off topic, but didn't find a better place to poats this. I want to buy another new Skoda and get the UK licence plates, however the car would be bought from Lithuanian Skoda dealer and driven only in Europe. Could anybody please tell me if it is possible to get the UK licence plates without bringing the car to UK or going there by myself assuming the the car would be registered on the name of UK based company. Thanks in advance.
  13. Thanks. A DTM spliter is going to be installed soon as well.

  15. Hi. Decided to drop my car for real. Need to decide between H&R monotubes and Eibach pro street s. Any feedback about these ride quality would be apreciated.

  18. Hi, mates. Wondering if anybody runs a set of FK automotive springs on MK3? How is the ride quality? Thanks.
  19. Agree. Due to the same reason I've even started considering to hand the keys of VRS to my wife and look for a used Megane RS or WRX STI for my self...
