  3. Hi, For sale is a well cared for Octavia VRS mk1, I bought the car a year ago from a previous women owner that had bought the car brand new from Adamsons Skoda in Deal, Kent. The car had just been used as a daily family car, and by no way has been trashed or abused by myself or the previous owner. The car has been smoke free from new and in my ownership only used Shell V-Power. 116,500 Mileage Full service history (on a variable schedule 2 years/20k) Services at 18k - Skoda, 39k - Skoda, 63k - Skoda (incl Timing belt and Water Pump, 77k - Independent, 100k - Independent, and a had a FULL home service carried out in April at 115,000k using all genuine VW parts or OE spec, including Spark plugs, Fuel filter. Rolling road test confirmed still producing 170BHP! The car was in a good condition when bought but just felt a bit down on power and few other bits i wanted to sort out. After reading a lot of info on the forum, I've spent near a £1000 on parts (all receipts kept) to bring it to a top condition and having all the troublesome jobs dealt with. The majority of parts were bought direct from Skoda - Rainsworth, and all work carried out by a trusted friend and mechanic of over 30 years. Some jobs carried out.... Timing belt and Water Pump including Hydraulic damper changed 18/04/15 at 115,000 Mileage. Thermostat change Driver's door central locking fix MAF Sensor Air intake temprature sensor Secondary Air pump Front Suspension, Lemforder Wishbones including bushes, Tie rod ends, Drop links, ball joints, full strut/Shocks (Spare set will be included) . 3 main breather pipes replaced for Silicone ones from Creation Motorsport Just had MOT, full 12 months (July 2016) with the only one fix required - Off side Headlight adjuster motor, replaced for new part from Skoda Leeds (£50!!!). Engine feels solid with smooth delivery of power. The interior is immaculate, no rips, tears, the leather is in excellent condition. Body work is in a good condition with just a few age related scratches/marks. No faults on dash whatsoever and the clutch feels like new. Comes with 2 keys and Full book pack Reason for Sale, recent move in to centre of Leeds, car just not been used enough. Any questions message, or 07808009466. 4. Hi all, Own a 2004 VRS mk1, with 115k on the clock and totally standard. I believe that one of my front shock absorbers is shot and the knocking noice is terrible!, I've already replaced most of the front suspension set up. I want to keep the car standard as possible, I've read a few topics on the site, my question is are the B4's a good replacement for the OE shocks?, and the cheapest one, If im going to replace the front shocks, would i need to replace the rears also? Im on a real tight budget at the min, if i did replace all shocks could i get away with keeping the OE springs? or would i have to replace them also? Any help would be great. Thanks Sparky
  5. Hi Yellowcar, thanks for the info, I thought you might reply regarding Terraclean!, I remember you gave me some advice on another thread my Dyno Run results. Yes i have read some of the forums and heard good reviews, does seem worthwhile, was just trying to get a few views on the matter, but I guess it will always split opinions on Briskoda! Thanks
  6. One last question, forgot to mention, what do people think about Terraclean, worth it on the Vrs on 100k or not a good idea? or would a good old service be sufficiant before i get a Remap?. Thanks
  7. Hi, and thanks, yes that's the idea, regarding OEM, and that's sounds like a good idea also, how would that work regarding an STS unit, would you still go down to Shark to put the initial map on?
  8. Thanks all for the comments really great site, just in the house and some really good write ups and useful info. With the good feedback I will defo be getting a remap done in January all been well... Thanks for taking the time. Sparky
  9. Hi, I've owned a 2004 Octavia VRS since July, one prev owner from new, totally standard, FSH, on 100k, using the forum for info, I've sorted a few early running problems I had, by changing the MAF, Secondary Air Pump, Thermostat, Air Intake Temp, Fuel filter, Air filter etc and all genuine parts. Also had a smoke test done no leaks and no fault codes, and had a Dynorun with figures at 170HP Flywheel Power. Really like the car so I've been looking at maybe getting the car remapped, having read a few older posts about R-Tech and hearing good things about them, looks also good value for money. Just after any opinions on whether a Remap would be worth doing? against leaving it standard, and with it being standard would I require any upgrades to go to stage 1? and would there be a big difference on MPG return? Any replys would be helpful Thanks
  10. I had the exact same problem, and with the central locking, I read the thread that someone has posted on your thread already, It will be the middle row and end pin that has eroded away over time due to water ingress, Got a friend to solder a piece of wire to the remaining bit of pin from the control unit and wire up to the red/yellow wire which will just pull out from the Multiplug unit, and all working again now, if only a temp fix, cost me £20.00.
  11. Has your Drivers door adjust mirror and heating part stopped working also?
  12. Hi, Passenger side NSF front Headlight, posted to Leeds? Thanks
