  1. I've just got back from picking up my vRS. Not had much time to drive it properly, but first impressions are good (had a little play with sport mode at a set of traffic lights at a dual carriageway though )
  2. I have spoken to the dealership this evening and they've confirmed that I can pick my car up on Wednesday (24/10/2017) at 10am
  3. Agreed, but I'm with Richard_vrs245, meteor grey looks best
  4. Just got off the phone with the dealership, and my car is now in Derby. Need a flip down pedal fitting before I collect it, but it's here Even got a video of my car sitting in the car park with the protective wrapping in it. Glad you've got yours and you're enjoying it
  5. Very nice looking motor there Peter. Had much of a chance to drive it yet?
  6. I can only speak for me, but I thought your comment was funny, so no need for explainations.
  7. Had an update from my dealership this evening in my way home from work. They have said that the car "should" be with the at the back end of next week (hopefully ). They also that the mix up at the port was down to someone scanning the order when it arrived as status 39 (in ship heading out of port), but two days later was scanned again as status 38 (at port awaiting to be loaded), but no-one seems to know why. At least five other cars have been caught up in this from the same dealership. PS, if Greenpeace get involved and delay my car any further I'll drive to the port and personally remove them off the ship
  8. Exactly Peter, I was told over the phone it was on the boat and would take about 5-6 days to get to the UK, and that was 10 days ago If I was told it was ready to be shipped but fairly far down the shipping order I could understand
  9. Hi Peter, I've had some news, but it's not good. Apparently my car has not yet left Emden Not what I was told last week. Have you had any delivery dates yet?
  10. I'm hoping as it states diesel engined cars repeatedly, I won't be affected. Mine's a petrol vRS and is currently in a boat heading to England (don't know where though)
  11. nearly there now. mines now built and on a ship heading to good 'ol blighty. PS, meteor grey is the only way
  12. Great looking car, the estate does look good in white
  13. I've just had confirmation that my car has been built and is on the way to Emden in Germany to be shipped over
  14. There's nothing like a little bit of hijacking sorry Adam Lovely looking car, making me almost regret getting the hatch now. Was very tempted with white, looks great with the black pack plus
  15. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/433747-delivery-timescales/ Both me and Peter have had lengthy delays after ordering petrol vRS's through Motability. I ordered mine at the beginning of May and mine is due to be built this week (fingers crossed ) I was told by my dealer that the diesel vRS was being built a lot quicker though. Hope you have less of a wait than we have had
  16. Yeah mines being built next week Peter. I'm going to have a slight delay in collecting my vRS as I'm having a left foot accelerater fitted, but as you said, nearly there now
  17. Glad you have a confirmed build week now Peter Not too much longer now.
  18. I've just had confirmation from the dealership that my car is at Status 20 and will be built at week 37, which I believe is next week
  19. Hi Peter I got a text from the dealer to advise that my build week is still 37, but not been confirmed as "Status 20" just yet. I'm trying to be optimistic about the car being built in two weeks time, but I'm not holding my breath. I have really enjoyed being a Skoda driver and am certain that I will enjoy the Vrs when it eventually arrives but when it comes time to change the car again I'm not sure I'm going to choose another Skoda after the delays (I may have completely forgotten about this in three years but not likely). I'm glad your build is on track for bw38 still, and I hope you get a response from Skoda Laurie
  20. There wasn't any mention of the compensation, but it was just a text to give me the build week. Couldn't call to check as I was at work until around 6pm today. I will call tomorrow morning and find out, I will let you know.
  21. I've just had confirmation from the dealership that my car will be built at week 37. I really hope this doesn't change. Would I be correct in thinking its build week 35 currently or is that next week?
  22. Blue does looks good, not as good as meteor grey though
  23. You can get electric folding mirrors but they are a cost option, not sure about the dipping mirror whilst reversing though
  24. I've just got off the phone with my dealership. They have explained that the delays are due to Skoda not being able to produce the the 2.0 and 1.4 tsi engines quick enough to keep up with the demand. This applies to the Octavia and Superb. He also told me that if I wanted to change my order to the diesel engine, he could get me one almost instantly. He also advised me that there is another order (on pcp, not Motability) that is in the same position as me (but ordered a few days before me), and that they have been chasing the factory and submitting forms to attempt to speed things, but to no avail. I have asked him if there was any sort of compensation that could be given due to the excessive delay in getting the car, he will be having a meeting in Monday about this.
