  1. Bad remap can do anything from brick the ECU to kill the turbo/engine. No one will give a decent well developed map out for free or even cheaply. Frightening that people are willing to test these things on peoples cars.
  2. Hi Guys Its that time of year where we like to offer a discount for Performance Torque remaps/software. We are holding a 15% discount on all remaps until December 20th. To claim the offer, please visit our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ptorque You can click 'get offer' and present the email sent by facebook to claim
  3. The 1.6CR models are no problem to tune. Our stage 1 remap is £395.00 all in and includes dyno set up with power runs before and after. We can also offer DPF delete packages. P-Torque Stage 2 software and DPF removal is £695.00 all in. As the guys at Shark have mentioned, its a safer bet to deal with a company thats already experienced with these engines.
  4. What modifications have you made to your Fabia so far?
  5. What modifications have you made to your Fabia so far?
  6. We offer forum members the price of £265.00 all in for our stage 1 remap on the 130PD's. At the same time, we refuse to start prices wars, as there is a massive difference in the quality of mapping.Due to time restrictions, I have struggled to be as active on Briskoda as I would have liked.Alot of forum votes depend on which tuner or company is most active on that particular forum. The VAG group for example shares the same engines and ECU's across the group, however different forums (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat) will have companies that post more than others etc.
  7. Some smoke can be expected when tuning the 130pd's, however, it should not be excessive. We run approx 175hp and 295lbs/ft torque on the P-Torque stage 1 remap. Smoke is very similar to the stock car.
  8. As above, battery disconnection is not an issue. You can even remove the ECU with P-Torque software on there, and it will be stored.
  9. We tune a huge amount of the CR engines, as well as much more complicated ECU's/engines. Im sure a hardware issue must have been present. 205 - 214hp is normal which should be very obvious. I can't remember back we've tuned 1000's of cars since, but I'm sure there would have been a genuine reason for not putting the car on the dyno. After 3 years, I think it says it all.
  10. As mentioned by members above... changing the FPR and injectors is pointless on the standard turbo. We have alot of customer running 240hp and 270lbs/ft torque on stock FPR and injectors. Decat is a cheaper option but obviously for motorsport use only An ideal set up without changing the turbo would be: Turbo-back exhaust system with sports cat/decat Pipercross panel filter. We have cars running at 330hp on the stock airbox Forge 007P valve Custom remap carried out on dyno
  11. Hi! We are still working on the 1.6CR engine. The ECU is different to that used in the other VAG diesel CR models.
  12. Best way to check if you are running a map already is to pull the software from the car and have it checked. A dyno power run would also give a good indication. Stage 1 map is well worth it if not already done. Stage 2 depends on budget. As an idea, the P-Torque stage 1 remap alone = 210hp and 230lbs/ft torque. P-Torque stage 2 = 230hp and 265lbs/ft torque. Stage 2 required a turbo back exhaust system.
  13. Avoid the tuning boxes on these engines. The DPF does not like them at all. Its also important to tune the car properly on the dyno so that the fuelling can be adjusted accurately to each engine ensuring the DPF is not at risk of blocking due to the injection increase.
  14. Thanks for the feedback Dewi, we got some great results from the car. As for the dyno chat, it gets boring.... at the end of the day, we set up race cars for various teams in the Dunlop Maxx series, Mini Challenge race series, and the Production touring car race series... these teams spend a fortune on their cars, entry fees, etc etc and the race engineers will only deal with the best.. Anyway, watch out if you see a subtle silver Fabia in your mirror..it may surprise you
  15. Thats a crazy amount of torque to be running Our stage 1 is £265.00 including dyno runs and offers approx 170hp and 295lbs/ft torque. Anyone having a map carried out with us between May 18th and June 30th will also be in with the chance to win a pair of tickets to the 2011 British Grand Prix
  16. Hi! We are based in Wolverhampton, and our remaps are carried out on the rolling road. The stage 1 remap is £265.00 all in, which includes dyno power runs before and after with graph print out. Power is increased to approx 170hp and 290lbs/ft torque
  17. Actually, we may be able to offer a free pipercross filter too. rrp is £37.00 normally I might post this up in our forum section.
  18. Thanks for the recommendations guys. We are based in Wombourne, Wolverhampton. The P-Torque stage 1 remap is £265.00 all in for the Gen 1 Fabia. This includes: Engine diagnostics check Custom set up on the dyno Graph print outs If you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail us at [email protected] or call on 01902 324584 Cheers Will
  19. Hi! Sometimes its worth travelling a little bit to make sure you are using a good tuner with good reputation. What stage of tuning are you after? Our stage 1 remap is £265.00 all in, and includes custom set up on the dyno, along with graph print out of the results. We usually see approx 170hp and 295lbs/ft with smoother delivery. More than 300lbs/ft is possible, although this requires an uprated clutch.
  20. No chance, and it never will be possible I'm afraid.
  21. Thank you We develop software with a couple of the main tool developers so usually stay on top of the newer ECU's, especially on VAG group models, BMW and new Mini's
  22. Hi Guys I have been asked to post some info in this section. The P-Torque software for the 1.4 TSI offers approx 210 - 215hp and 205 - 210lbs/ft torque. We are currently chatting to Forge regarding the FMIC and Intake system for the Fabia, and check fitment against that of the Ibiza's There has been alot of concern regarding DSG transmission in almost all VAG variants, but in actual fact they are very strong, and we have tested them both on the track, road and dyno, and to date not 1 customer has suffered a DSG issue, despite some running high levels of torque (360lbs/ft) Within the next week we will be releasing our DSG software upgrade for the Fabia/Ibiza too
