Without a doubt good call. Timing belt and clutch while engine out. Be gutting to do a swap to them have to mess around after doing a clutch.
-
Really depends on how much work you want to do. You can fit any engine you like with varying issues and bridges to cross. But if you stick with the same its just a straight forward swap.

Christ VRade did that cooler come with a car ?lol

Yeah Flash92 that's the noise. Just sounds like a run on. I think i will take it off clean and grease it and see what happens when i get a day off
-
Thanks for the help people
-
Judging by the sound the chances are that its beyond help but i will change it and keep it greased i think
-
Yeah its really annoying. Thanks flash i will try that when it stops raining
-
Its probably a common fault but sometimes my starter let's out a scream of pain on start up. I've been told that even if i put a new one on it will only last 6 months which seems strange ? Before i slip a new one in is there anything i can do to prolong the life ?

Anniversary edition mk4 golf gtis had 312mm brakes. Calipers are all the same but carriers different.

V-Maxx coilovers - any bad experiences?

Definitely you get what you pay for mate. I've got FKs and although good ride i know KWs would be far better. Go with what your budget can afford -
Or check door foils ? Vws use to suffer with them if they weren't sealed properly

Excellent write up very useful cheers. Looks like it was a pig to fit but nothing is impossible

Hi people I'm new to the forum but looking for some opinions. I've got an Octavia 20vt mk1 and I'm looking at fmic for it. Now eBay have specials for £199 but I was wondering how good these are or if anyone has fitted one ? I'm not looking to upgrade to massive power just fmic exhaust possibly k03s and remap. All opinions would be greatly appreciated
