DPF won't force regen
Hi Everyone, I have a 1.6 TDi. The DPF won't regen. I have a check engine light on, and the coil light flashes. error codes P018300 fuel temperature sensor A circuit high P164E00 oil pressure regulation valve electrical malfunction Garage said they can change the fuel temp sensor, but they say they don't know which oil pressure valve to change. They recommended me go find an auto electrician to figure out what to do. Does that sound right? Isn't there just one oil pressure regulation valve? I hope you can help me with my problem! Cheers, choclit

Boot won't open
The locking mechanism was the problem. Now I don't know what caused the problem, so it might jam again, but I will say what I did which seems to have fixed it. There's a little white box fixed *on to the side* of the opening mechanism which is fixed on by two posi screws. You can open this one up by unscrewing both screws, and then prising it open using a screwdriver. Some care needed as it is snapped shut with plastic tabs. Inside the white box is a motor, which makes a noise when it turns (for me it wasn't making the noise, so we knew it wasn't working). When the motor turns, it turns a white plastic cog which either pulls out or pushes in a pole. This is what unlocks/locks the door. When it's locked the pole is fully out, when it's unlocked the pole is fully in. Mine was jammed fully out. I turned the cog back and forth. I pulled/pushed the pole back and forth. Then put it in the fully in position, properly unlocked. Put everything back together. Boot door works as good as new, better than it did before! (If anyone encounters any other problems with the boot lock, you can also take off the big white plastic cover in the middle. This white plastic cover is fixed on by two tabs either side. You can prise it off with a screwdriver. Once this is off you can even take out the whole door lock by unscrewing the T30 and T40(maybe bigger) screws too. I broke a T40 short bit undoing these, so either take care or don't use cheap bits!)

Boot won't open
I've never replaced the battery in my key or used the buttons, but I would guess it would unlock the boot using the button on the key (only got lock/unlock buttons). Usually I just turn the key in the driver's door and it would unlock the boot too. When I turn the key in the boot to unlock, I can hear the unlocking sounds for the doors but not the boot at the moment, if it helps.

Boot won't open
My story continues! I fixed one major leak, then found out two minor ones... But I can't open my boot now! Hence the thread... I have a '02 hatchback. Today I can't open the boot the normal way! I do not know whether the "locking mechanism" isn't working, or whether the "opening mechanism" isn't working, or whether a fuse has gone. I can and have opened the boot from the inside by taking off the plastic rectangle. Everything looks fine, so it's gotta be something electrical? Could the fuse have blown? If so, any ideas which one it is? That would be the easiest fix. What else could it be?

Windscreen leak
Hi everyone! No more puddles in the front passenger footwell. The problem was underneath the scuttle there is a tray that diverts water from going on to the pollen filter. My tray was missing, god knows why, either after a careless service or a careless windscreen change, someone had broke it. After searching car breakers etc. Finally I gave up and bought a new one from a Skoda dealer for about £25 then installed it myself. A very doable job. Cheers everyone for the help.

Leak in boot - 2003 Octavia
I have a leak in the boot on the LHS too, pool under the CD changer beneath carpet, with a bit of dampness on the boot carpet. Let me know whether you find the problem. I will start having a look too...

Windscreen leak
I've found a topic where Tomlin8 had the same problem. I'm missing the same extra shield that fits underneath the scuttle. I guess I've been missing this part since my windscreen was changed Does anyone know where I can get a new one? I'll start searching for it online... If the problem persists after fitting the new part I'll try changing the grommet, thanks, DeanVRS20VT!

Windscreen leak
Hi All! I'm having trouble figuring out why water is coming into the footwells. At first it seemed that a hole in the scuttle (which I think used to be filled up with a plastic door) was causing water to trickle down onto the cabin air filter and into the car. So I shoved tape over that, see first photo. Checked with hose pipe for leaks seems fine but temporary fix. But from somewhere else water seems to seep in and drip onto the cabin air filter. This seems to be the culprit, see second photo. Under the rubber flap of the scuttle along the windscreen is a black plastic rectangle seal, which is not part of the scuttle. There is a gap on both passenger and driver side, see above for passenger side. Does everyone else's look like this? I had a windscreen change, I don't know what it looked like before. If this gap in the black rectangle in the second photo above is normal, then could I have some tips for solving this annoying leak? Should I be getting a new scuttle, and if so, where from? Many thanks in advance!
