  1. Over the past few weeks we have seen so many PD powered vehicles from 130,150 and PD160's. Super Nova have developed a x2 feature cars one with over 400 FTLB of torque using the firad 80% Nozzles and our own IBIZA running stock injectors and a GT1749VK turbo with mystery internals. Currently competing with the likes of the ##!!##H fabia that is moderately modified.   3. Switchable remapping by Super Nova Tuning LTD. Our switchable system uses the android platform to switch maps from your phone or tablet you can have upto 5 MAPs ready to switch at any one time. The software can consist of any combination of maps including the 4 tuned files and the stock file.   5. If we can get enough number together we are looking to host a meeting for like minded owners in Norfolk Super Nova Tuning is based in Griston between Thetford and Norwich.   6. Link Should be working and active. - Cost, Will depend on the work you want doing as all of our work is fully custom made to the clients requirements and power goals. However a basic upgrade excluding DPF & EGR would be looking around the £350 Mark. - MPG improvement wise again will depend on your requirements if 100% targeting economy you should expect to see 4-6 at the least but im sure you can agree this is very hard to predict as 1 we don't know how your car is currently performing neither do we know your driving style. Having said this we will guarantee an increase. - Insurance it will depend on your current insurer the best thing to do is get a quote prior to having the vehicle remapped.   7. the 2014 CR 2.0 TDI VAG engine is one of our most common vehicles, With bespoke remapping gains upto 50 BHP and 90 NM of torque on a stock vehicle the gains in both power and economy are large.   8. On Thursday we had a customer that had found us via briskoda !! Only based a few miles down the road on Norwich (Norfolk) we collected the vehicle so we could make an early start. The vehicle was an Octavia 1.6 TDI that required more torque, EGR Disable and DPF Flow modification. The Octavia 1.6 TDI uses the Continental PCR 2.1 that dose require unlocking (communication VIA OBD) once the unlock procedure is carried out the remap can be applied via the OBD port for life. On this particular vehicle due to the EGR and DPF modification we were able to apply a little more boost and fuel than on a stock vehicle. Although we did not run the car up on the Rolling Road we expect a good gain in terms of BHP and Torque.   9. Hi Chris, Your looking at our "Staged Maps" this list is not quite upto date but we are working on it. You can use any VAG vehicle as long as the Engine is the same in terms of power output and year.   12. Please see our latest updates, for protected ECU's now released via OBD. We can read and write via OBD to all application is the list, No ECU removal is required.   13. Full communication by OBD. No soldering or opening of the control unit is required, Will soon also be released on our switchable unit however the vehicle must visit us first for the initial set up. Strictly from a software point of view, you can use the remap that you currently have however you will need the DPF structure removed from the software or you will end up with limp mode due to the pressure difference in the exhaust. You can simply ask your tuner to remove the DPF filter structure from the software to allow for physical removal of the hardware. If you tuner is unable you will need to find a file writer to remove the DPF structure from the ECU. If you need any further advise please feel free to let us know. Good Morning, The power depends upon the many other factors other than boost, this particular vehicle has 3" pipework with the AIRTEC cooler so the temperature drop is considerable over the factory unit therefore thermal efficacy is greater meaning less waste and more power from the same or lower boost. We have yet to run this on the dyno results are loosely based on the GPS runs we did at the time, next week the client is returning for his dyno runs. Kind Regards Matt @ Super Nova Tuning
  20. absolutely correct, the biggest issue was that the smoke and torque maps were "set" lower that the actual request that was made. This is why we worked with an original file for peace of mind know we would not come against similar issues. Currently we are running 1.6 BAR (peak) with 70 MG of fuel we are not encountering any real smoke. Kind Regards Matt @ Super Nova Tuning
  21. Morning guys a quick update from the weekend, We have had a rather clean Fabia visit us. (recommendation from a forum member, Thank you) This VRS is far from stock and was running a stage 1 map from a well know tuner, the dyno results show 157 BHP. The car is using the PD150 turbo with the Airtec intercooler.   22. Good Afternoon to all, Since we have joined the forum last week we have yet to post some of our media and what we get upto. We are not a new company we have been working with engine management software in motorsport for over 20 years the company has been in existence of close to 100 years. Over the coming weeks we will be sharing videos and basic guides of remapping along with our gains and recent updates. Please see one of our Octavia VRS's that we made a PROMO video off. The 2.0 TFSI 197 BHP was dyno'd at 183 BHP stock when with mild changes to boost and fuelling amongst other parameters we produced 268 BHP. This vehicle was using the MED17 platform of ECU that is fully OBD programmable. Any questions please fire away, me and rest of the team will be happy to help.
