  1. Hi everyone, hope someone can help? The boot warning light wont go out, I don't want a flat battery in the morning, is there a fuse that I can remove. Thankyou
  2. Yes, well done indeed! I haven't had a day off work yet to test/trace mine but hopefully will have some success. Thanks again Wino for the photos and sharing your wisdom.
  3. Many thanks, looks like I will be out with the multimeter, is it possible to check for continuity on the wires between the alternator and gearbox coupling?
  4. Thanks for the quick reply, and the photo, didn't expect this sort of thing from a german company!
  5. Hi there, you sound very knowledgeable on the subject, I also have no battery light on my 02 fabia 1.9TD and am having charging issues, new battery, new alternator etc. from your experience is there one wire colour in particular that tends to snap/frey? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi there, I too have no battery light on my fabia and I am having charging issues, just wondered if you managed to find the fault? Thanks in advance.
  7. What I was meaning is there a upgraded 2 pin available.
  8. I had heard that the genuine sensor was the best, but I think Skoda do a green sensor now which is not to be so problematic?
  9. Thanks for sending this, but that is a four pin and Im sure mine is 2 pin. Do you know who makes the darkside sensor?
  10. Hi My fabia estate has a very strange case of letting rainwater into the boot. I say strange because sometimes when its bucketing it down it only lets in a little water and other times with less rain I find there is more water! I have taken out the boot sides to try and see where its coming from, and the only place it appears to be coming in is around the light cluster area. I have sealed around the boot hinges which made no difference at all, no leaks from the washer and nothing much in the spare wheel well, so it must be the lights. Does anyone have any tips about sealing the lights, I don't want to use silicone as I may need to take them out! Thankyou
  11. Hello, I have a 2002 fabia 1.9TD estate, I need to replace the coolant temp sensor. The engine code is 6Y5. I have been advised not to buy a cheap copy, as they can be troublesome, however I hear that Febi Belstein are quite good. The part number for this is 29318, they are a german manufacture, however I read somewhere that there is an upgraded sensor that is green. When researching this, they seem to have 4 ports, not 2 as the grey one has, does anyone know of this upgrade? Many thanks Sean
