  1. 70+ an hour where I work...Kia Main Dealer. Even employees half price labor rates still worse than that.
  2. As Jack said...I made the mistake of spending 45 mins fiddling trying to get it back in before the light build went off and I used a socket extender.
  3. Change the EGR pipe gaskets at each end as they didn't cost alot and the EGR has like a o-ring gasket which should be fine to reuse if you are careful. I didn't have a issue reusing.
  4. I didnt use a nozzle buddy, I just put the pipe over the bare "point" of the can and used pliers to push down. No problems.
  5. Yea was all over it this weekend. Seems there a bit of oil residue on the lower intercooler hose. But ill be replacing all the top hoses from EGR to I/C next weekend and go from there. Iv cable tied the crap out of it lol. Tho can hear the air rushing out from somewhere just cant pinpoint it sounds like its coming from the EGR area. So annoying.
  6. Just to add....I have done the this treatment to the letter...WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!! I had a issue with loss of power and lumpy driving (No Limp Issues). When accelerating and hitting boost the car would vibrate and judder through trh boost was really not a nice feeling or sound. Decided to clean the turbo with Mr Muscle......Issue has gonna tho i still get little judder oj boost tho no where near in comparison to beforehand and the car runs alot better and smoother with the boost delivery smoooooth and consistent. Tho I haven't got all the power back yet the main issue of its driving like a bag of **** is gone! Just the boost leak to sort now So thnak you OP! For £6 and your guide iv just saved a fortune!!
  7. And the winner is..... soul snatcher24 So at the weekend I done the "Mr Muscle" turbo treatment per thread on here, Worked a charm....the vibration has been resolved tho as SoulSnatcher says it hasnt gone completely but alot! and my boost delivery is much smoother and consistent. Tho all the power isn't back its still lacking it feel so think i do also have a boost leak ill be addressing next weekend now. Thanks for the replies all. You been great!! LeezoG
  8. Will cross that bridge when it come to it buddy lol. For now it's all speculation
  9. Alright bud well when iv got it all out and Im happy with it ill let you know mate??
  10. Thank you Vindaloo! Yea i assumed there would be a harness for the changer. Smart coded, iv had the head unit out a few times and back in and have to out my radio code in a each time. Aslong as someone else can use it with the code in there vehicle then ill sell it.
  11. Oh and also got Skoda symphony head unit i will be selling...Will this work in other vehicles as-long as the radio code is supplied?
  12. Afternoon All. Just a quick one, Does anyone or ha anyone removed the CD Multi-changer from under the N/S/F seat? I dont use it and never will so looking at removing and selling. Cheers all. LeezoG
  13. Even if there is a issue with the boost delivery? Would the mount cause this too?
  14. You could be that mate, Tho just sounds like its coming from the front of the car, SO could be anything lol, Think its a matter of process of elimination. I am down on power so the sticky veins is a possibility, Tho Im not getting limp mode no matter how hard I hit it. Just a vibration and groan from like 2k to 3k then the power comes :/ But still not all the power i should have have. Ita ****ing me off now to be honest. Could be a boost leak causing overboosting. But again no limp mode. Gonna fit my silicone hoses and clean turbo this weekend so will go from there. :(
  15. Yes buddy im getting round to all of the above. Just weathers horrendous at the mo. Ill keep that in mind and give it a bash Mr Muscle style!
  16. ^^^ likeRum said make sure you brake pedal is as far up as irt will go it will click and it will stay in place.
  17. Good shout bud, Yea think my bearing has gone on one side that could be drive shaft cv related. Tho Yea? Hopefully mate its a simple as that. Yea it does do it about 2k too. seesm to be getting worsde i been assuming its the DMF but open to trying things in the man time before it goes. they make tqo diff noises at diff times so something ill look into cheers buddy.
  18. New switch buddy, I had exactly the same. Have you adjusted it or replaced it? If adjusted get a new one if replaced and still not working...either fitted incorrectly mate or faulty switch
  19. Mines got the CD changer......Would swap it out for heated seats or cruise control in a beat
  20. Na Bud it can be ****** up! LOL. The push rod on the switch its pretty flimsy, Along with dropping the clips for the side panel of the dash down into the dash....Losing the torq screws ect ect. You need to go in from the O/S dash end cap where the door closes onto and use a trim tool or padded flat head to pry the flap open and off......Better still.....I followed this guide. Tho i used the most current BLS and was a little diff installing the switch but you'll get it. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/211083-diy-fabia-i-brake-light-switch-replacement/ Like Mogwye said, check ya bulbs over i had the issue of them never going off so wasn't like your issue. Also the sweitch may just need a bit of wiggling and the oush rod may just be stiff. But I didn't pay alot for the switch.
  21. Sounds like a plan! Was reading some over-reactions about the vibrations! If the Mrs hasn't noticed it.....Neither should mine. Nor the baby
  22. Easy replacement, about half hour few mins to replace switch. Rest is undoing lower part of dash to get at it. I pulled my brake pedal right up to the point where it clicked and stayed in place (Weather that's good or no I don't know but worked for me). Twist off old one and put in place pull out the push pin on switch and push brake pedal back into position.
  23. As Matt said, They don't do a upgraded SMIC for the Fabia. Which is I would of thought Darkside would be all over as Id buy one! I was bitterly disappointed when they emailed me to say they didnt. :(
