If my car does not have xenons then I always change to those bulbs as they have the best reviews and they were great with my Type R which had terrible standard lights iirc.

Rattle is now fixed, I've not got the definitive answer yet but some dashboard fixings were loose and something at the bulkhead ?? I will find out properly later when I hand the cash in but I'm delighted to be rattle free. Pretty much all suspension now replaced as well as the brakes, fancy reprinting the calipers black but might just buy old ones and get them regurfed properly ?

Buying the same when I get home from hols but from the UK. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321795637844&globalID=EBAY-GB

I did the front and rear discs and pads on mine and I'm useless, they were easy and really cheap or buy better quality as you are doing it yourself !!

Cars in the garage just now getting the daft knocking or rattle sorted hopefully ? If not its just turn up the stereo as I'm not throwing more cash at it. Don't know what to do next ? Maybe buy 4 x used standard calipers and send them to Bigred to get them rebuilt and coated black ?? Front strut brace but get it powder coated black rather than the usual red ??

Got the grill already painted from another member on FB for £50 which was a decent price as it was unused since painting. Think you can get them of eBay or Skoda parts for original ones. Prob Livi or FRB as I live in Uphall and work in Grangemouth, thanks for the comment.

Loz just the original ones on eBay for £13 each for front and back and original wheel badges for £20 from eBay as well. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=221810803227&globalID=EBAY-GB http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=121681618256&globalID=EBAY-GB All genuine and way better than cheap copies.

Chris I've changed everything on the suspension, I'm on holiday just now and the car is at the garage when I'm away, I think it's just something stupid behind the dashboard. I just used Autoglym super resin polish and Collinite 476 wax which I think is excellent. I've just bought a G3 Farcela clay mitt which I will use on the car to decontaminate it properly, then Prima Amigo pre wax cleanser, which is meant to be amazing, then either Collinite or Autoglym HD wax.

Spent some time snow foaming, washing, polishing and waxing the car and it looks amazing. There is a knocking coming from the steering rack or that area which is hard to sort. I've changed all the suspension components incl new console bushes and ARB bushes which were the only things I never changed when I lowered the car. Who knows what the knocking is ? Bought original new style centre caps as well.

Fabia VRS front knocking not suspension though ?

Thanks Matt I have tried the steering wheel and it doesn't always make the noise. I will try it again on Monday when I drive to work. I mentioned the dog bone mount to the garage but the noise sounds nearly in the dash ????? Nightmare -
Hi Wondering if anyone can help please. I have a metal knocking noise mostly at low speeds and it seems to be coming from dashboard area roughly ? I have eliminated all suspension components by replacing everything, console and ARB bushes, ball joints, droplinks, tie rods and track rod ends, ball joints, struts, springs and top mounts. So happy enough it's none of these. Get a bit of noise when pressing the clutch and the pedal moves too much so something might be wrong behind the dash ?? Or is it the steering rack ????? Thanks for any help .

Both mine fell apart on my 2007 VRS so got a new pair for £30 iirc from Skodaparts.

Car back from garage after tracking checked, new front brake shields fitted and new " non sticky out " clear side indicators popped on.

Looking mint as you say Chris, delighted for you :-) I put my colour coded grill on today and still might get the original grill black wrapped for swaps.

Hope it looks great Chris!!
