  1. Metallic Silver Skoda Roomster 2 1.9 Tdi on an 07 plate car. Registered on the 13th March 2007 and has covered aprox 27000 miles. MOT is until March 2012 and taxed until the end of September 2011. The car is in very good condition and is standard without any modifications. The car came fitted with Atria alloys and 205/45/16 tyres. Full size spare wheel included. It has aircon, electric windows, heated wing mirrors and the "Dance" CD sound system with a fitted Ipod jack input. The cam belt has been changed and it comes with service history. The car is currently in Bury Lancashire but could be viewed in the Nottingham or Cambridge areas during the weekend of 17/18th September 2011. I can be contacted by PM or email [email protected] Looking for £5650 Thanks Doug
  2. A company called Flo-Flex are selling complete sets of Polyurethane bushes for the fabia/polo front wishbone that they manufacture on ebay. They have a web site but do not currently list them on their web site. The front wishbone bushes are split in a similar manner to the powerflex bushes The rear wishbone bushes are solid polyurethane like the cupra bushes and not like the powerflex udder type. Thought this may be of interest to anyone contemplating changing these bushes. Dougal
  3. For those who would like to try Shell V-Power, you can print a £1.00 off coupon from the Shell web site. You can claim the £1.00 off against a purchase of 30 litres of V-Power fuel. Shell for Consumers - United Kingdom The coupon is valid until 30/06/09 Dougal
  4. Have a look in the menu items, there is an item to enable the aux input. Ours was disabled. The aux input then worked Hope this helps Dougal
  5. Check your rear wash is working OK and look for the water escaping into the boot lid and effecting the plug into the boot catch Hope this helps Dougal
  6. I think you have identified the problem with the comment about the boot light coming on. Is the rear washer working Ok, if it isnt then check if the water from it is coming out inside the boot lid. The water gets into the plug on the boot lock and causes the connections to corrode/short out and gives intermittant alarms because it thinks the boot has been opened. . Worth a check Dougal
  7. Thanks for your response Sebastian, information as requested. I have kept the information to a minimum and removed the end of the chassis number. 8. Thanks for the link Stu Found several instances of the 6R0 pump coding on the site but all are on fairly new Ibiza's or Polo's. All had 10110 or 10111 coding. Doug
  9. Thanks for the response Lummox, the original pump was 6Q0 423 156 G The new one is 6R0 423 156 which I understand is now supplied as the latest replacement for the Fabia. Doug
  10. I replaced the power steering pump today on our 2001 Fabia 1.9 tdi comfort. The original pump had a coding of 00110. The new one came with coding 10110 already installed. After reading the coding info on de.openobd.org - skoda - fabia (6y) it is far from clear whether the coding should be 10110 or 00110, (our roomster also has a pump coding of 10110). The first 1 apears to be for the "airbag", but software levels apear to be involved as well (is this the sofware level of the power steering controller?). Has anyone any further information on how to identify the correct coding? Everything appears to be working ok with 10110 in. Thanks for any info Doug
  11. If the immobiliser chip has been used with an Immobiliser 3 then it will be locked. If it has been used with an Immobiliser 2 then it will not be locked. Immobilizer III Key Matching (Cluster) - Ross-Tech Wiki Have a read of the above which shows how the chip can be checked with VAG-com Dougal
  12. Here is a link to the ross-tech site which gives the way of determining whether you have Immobiliser 2 or 3. Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Immobilizer 2 ECU Swapping If you split the bottom part of your existing flipkey from the top, you will find the item code of your existing remote. From memory the 434mhz sounds correct. If you have the immobiliser code (this is supplied on a plastic strip with the immobiliser code printed on it under a scratch off patch) someone locally with VAG-com can code the key to the immobiliser for you. Dougal
  13. There are basically two types of immobilisers which may be fitted on your car. Immobiliser 2 or 3. Read the Ross-Tech site on how to determine which type you have fitted. The chip in the top part of the key is not locked with immobiliser 2 but it is with immobiliser 3. If the keyfob you buy off ebay has been used with immobiliser 3 then the chip in the top part of the keyfob will need to be replaced. For the remote part of the key, as a quick guide you need to buy one with the same number of buttons, if you current one has 2 buy one with 2, if it has 3 buy one with 3. Do not buy any keyfobs from the USA because they use a different frequency. The chips and all bits can also be purchased from Hickleys :: Welcome to Hickleys - HomePage If you need to replace the chip there is a small screw underneath the badge on the keyfob so you need to remove the badge carefully to remove the screw. Hope this helps Dougal
  14. If you put your postcode in the Advanced Diagnostics site you should be able to find a local locksmith who has the Advanced Diagnostics code reader. They can use this to read the immobiliser code and program a new key for you. Advanced Diagnostics Hope this helps Dougal
  15. Carried out the Cage mod on our 07 reg Roomster 1.9 Tdi today. Noticed an improvement, especially a reduction in smoke under load and smoother running in general. When I carried out the Cage mod on out 01 reg Fabia 1.9Tdi I did not notice any change, but the Fabia reduces less smoke than the Roomster under load. One difference, the MAF on the Roomster has Gold plated contacts whearas the Fabia doesn't. Both MAF's are Bosch. Hope this helps others. Dougal
