  10. Heh, wait till you hear it when you hear it lift off throttle from higher rev.. Anyway, wheel pics up everyone. Pro race 2's are amazingly light and definitely something to consider if you want increased pace and higher mpg. On the trip im getting on avg 5-8mpg more on these than on spiders.
  11. As promised: The ding: As you can see its quite hard to get a photo of the ding because its actually very very minor. You'll see worse on parking dings if I'm completely honest. At current im trying to get it as OEM as possible for the sake of the seller but if seller is interested in items let me know I can keep them back. Like I said though, time is of essence, otherwise I'll just get another years insurance to prep the car properly, but the price will be adjusted to reflect that. Any more info/pics please ask. PM or phone is best. John

Assortment of things - Locking wheel nut caps, nut caps, cup holder, OEM rear cubby hole, ford valve springs (for pop up boot, didnt work, needed extra rubber for the mk1 fabia), rear bumper louvers, half din cubby hole: £20 posted? Lastly... are you ready for this................ Exhaust flame kit... The story behind this is that my **** of a brother once upon a time thought it would be 'cool' to slam his alfa 157 2.0l to the floor, 20 inch rims, brembo brakes and 'interesting' accessories like the above. But hey, one could always use this to put it on their evos/subarus, light a bbq, or even just have some giggles at events (not on public roads). What you get is the above, I think all you need a switch and a spark plug. £15 posted? 15. My current state is that I have acquired a Mercedes Cdi 200, the Fabia has been made a financial burden. I was intending to keep it till the end of time, but due to family circumstances no-one in the family was willing to take the merc and I cant sell it. However I am paying the bills for the merc so I cant justify keeping the Fabia no matter how much I want to keep it. As it stands insurance need renewal before the end of the month, so if its gone before then I can sell the car at this price. Else I will take my time on the sale over the course of the year. Bought in 2009 at 38k iirc, used as a weekend trips back home (40 mile a road stretch each way). I'd say 60% a roads, 20% motorway 20% town. Cambelt change at 56k, Changed oil and minor services by myself 4-5 times, every ~6-8k. Just done another yesterday (12/05/2013), using Quantium, Q8 or Petronas. Filters changed regularly, Avg 53.5 mpg for most of the time I've owned it. Has dosage of Millers on regular basis, once every other fill (give or take). Mainly used Shell, Mobile 1 or Esso to fill up when I can. Rare occasions I've been to Sainsburys/Tesco. Never Asda/Morrisons. Ran like clockwork, It has a ding on the passenger rear door from an oap, damage consist of paint scuff and tiny indentation. Im removing my list of 'add ons' asap but if you like any of them then I could keep them on. Link to add on bits will be added shortly - http://www.briskoda....earout-part-ii/ Picks will be followed after. Located GU3, BN43, or CM16 area. PM is fastest contact.
  16. Crazy, might jump on the S3 boat or similar then if its the same case for me, saving the amount on insurance will compensate for the extra fuel used! If only they actually stick to a system which we can all follow then wont get stung randomly for owning a particular car.
  17. Whats wrong with insurance companies/people driving the Fabia lately? It costs the same to insure a fabia vrs to a merc c200 cdi both same year... Seriously consider jump ship if I cant find cheap insurance soon...
  18. Eh? You can heel/toe on a mk1 fabia. Cant lfb though, need a car which it can. would like to learn that
  19. The problem with dsg is that 0.3 sec you want power and it's not there. You got to wait for brains to kick in and go. I'm sure in the future that can minimise this lag time. I find little things I don't like:- - When you brake and downchange it disengages clutch/power so it's coasting in effect, I'm sure sportier models will be less inclined to do that especially when using paddle/self shift, - when it's rev matching on downshift and braking is just funny, I'm sure again it can be tweaked so it's smoother, - when you don't want to drive at pace the computer takes a while for it to gel into civilised town driving, annoying to say the least - Driving experience wise it feels like I'm playing forza or gt, it's good I guess as it gives you more time to concentrate and extract full potential easier but it kills the mechanical element of fun. But hey F1 uses all electronic gismo shifters now right? Can't be that difficult to replicate for road users.. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Yep, I understand that, but in that scenario can you adjust the front to make it handle like normal again? I thought if the rear has an issue then adjusting the front will do very little to rectify it..? Or is that not true?
  21. Ahh.. I wasnt sure that by adjusting the front you can compensate for the rear (if incorrect). So, could anyone give me an example? Is it like: if rear wheels toe is out by 0.5, front will need to be normal angle toe + x angle instead?
  22. I've got a google maps up to see how from LHS of bus lane switches to RHS shortly before a roundabout - https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=a219+southbound&ie=UTF-8&ei=EVmBUfCrCIjIOejhgLAL&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg I was travelling on A219 end of Shepherds bush road towards the big roundabout. You can imagine with road works blocking it off then releasing 2 lane traffic it gets a bit confusing in heavy traffic (tbh I was just following traffic).
  23. Thats what I thought, so whats the point of 4 wheel alignment?
  24. Its not my usual route but I didn't see any notices like that, im pretty sure I didnt see use the bus lane sign, normally they're stupid big. Yep, was very strange.. I never encountered that before. When it opened up, I (and a big herd of traffic) assumed it still was available to use since there were no end of road works sign, again stupid big and cant really miss it especially when your at crawling pace in central london.
