Hi just wondering who has sucssesfuly changed there head bolts doing it one by one as i think my old girl is starting with head lift if i drive it hard coolant can go from max to bringing light on in 2 months or so but if i keep it steady it will take a bit longer .... So am thinging of changing bolts but dont hold much hope of it working doing one at a time ..... Is it worth just waiting for a bit more cash and take head off and do it right .... I dont want to do them one at a time and it not seal right then cook it and warp head ect ect then shes dead really ..... Thanks

Just a quick one im going to put a front mount on my vrs and thinking to order pipe work for egr and asv delete while im on and changing the pipe work as i was planning on removing them over time anyway but will do it with the new cooler now .... Now does our vrs have a limp mode function when it sees a fault as i wont be able to get the egr mapped out straight away .... Or if i take asv and egr off will it still run the same just put eml light on ...... Also iv been looking at egr deletes and cant really find one listed for a blt other than darkside who are a bit pricey ... Is a egr delete for any 1.9tdi or a asz engine the same that will fit mine ... Thanks

Not every blt is forced to do it just certain ones as there all just on the limit with emssion at idle and some will show it more .....

Mine doest it from time to time but just put air con on and heated screen and it goes off or just up revs a little .... I have been told by someone high up with vag / working with skoda that they have had many issues with this many times before when the blt engine came out with fabia comeing back under warranty and have been unable to fix it ... They say its a cariteristic of the blt engine .. But belive its due to the emmisions contols trying to keep things sweet .... Dont for get the 1.9 pd is a old engine she was around in the 90s where emissions wasent so much ... Since then vag have added loads of things to keep it going as its one of there most reliable engines like differnt turbos dmf egr asv dpf ect which wont be on a early pd motor ... Ours the blt eninge is the last of the pd engine with added anti shudder valve from the asz motor to try and lower emissions even more ... Even with all the extra bits like egr asv the 1.9 pd still failed euro 5 emmission regs that why the se came about as a run out for the fabia and the blt motor ;( ... Youll struggle to find a asz doing this but a blt will do it every time... Iv heard egr delete and upping the idle slightly will solve all of your problemes but havent tryed it on mine yet as it dosent really bother me as shes never sat idleing much ........

Theres a few that shake like mad at idle no one really know why tho some one has just started a thread with a possible fix so fingers crossed ..... Mine does it at idle really bad only sometimes tho but when it does stick air con and heated screen on and it goes off

Iv got inermittant shakeing at idle ... But it goes once you put heated screen on is this same as yours thanks
