Hi, Had my door seals done in December and seemed to work (made a post on it )but after washing car 3 times since i am back to water splashing out AGAIN!. I can only find 1 drain hole and it's to the front of the car?

Hi, Can't really tell,maybe new seal doesn't block sill hole as that was the problem. Here's the part numbers anyway S5E0837698B S5E0837697B According to my invoice.

Mine is petrol did it once in April not done it since.

Got my car back from dealers yesterday after the new modified door seals had been fitted. Washed the car today and.............problem fixed, no more splash of water when doors opened :clap:

Took mine to the dealers and they said they could fix the problem by adjusting the door seals. They now say it requires new modified ones which need ordering so i am waiting for these.

Been reading this topic as my Car suffers from this,THERE IS A FIX for this. Thanks to Keith64 who's car had the problem but now fixed i rang Skoda UK told them the problem they contacted my dealers. I called in at my dealers and they say it is fixable by the Door Seals being adjusted as they block a drain hole in the door sill don't know where exactly. Hope this helps the cars that suffer from this,don't know if it is every Octavia. Regards, D1965

The discs are not rusty,the noise happens all the time when braking it's the last few yards until stopping, it's a similar noise to my previous car and any other car when it had been washed and you get noise from braking due to maybe moisture on the discs. Like you say Flyinggecko i need to try out other cars from the dealers. Thanks for your comments.

No problem,i have taken the car back to the dealers just after i bought it.Explained the problem took the technician out in it and he heard it. The front wheels where taken off discs & brakes checked and he said it was the friction between the pads & discs making the noise?. Another person had also reported this but it was on a citigo. I really don't know in what direction i can go regarding this it's not very noisy but it's something that i can hear.

Hi,it's hard to describe it's not a squealing noise i only hear it on the front just before the car stops the last few feet.sorry can't give you anymore info if anything it's a sshhh noise.
