  1. Thanks for posting this, just taken advantage of the offer. Just need to get myself a Bluetooth adapter now. Any recommendations?
  2. Hi there, door cards off and drilling out of the rivets that hold the stock speakers in place from what I've read on here so far. I've got the same job to do myself now I've fitted (completed today) my own after market head unit (10yr old Pioneer DEH-5630, it does MP3 CD's which is what I want). My passenger speaker has a nasty vibration with any amount of bass/volume being applied. There's quite a few similar threads on here, you can find using the search function which have the info you need. I'll be looking again soon as I have some old 6.5" JBL components that I'll be fitting. I need to check if they'll fit with the adapters they came with or if I need deeper ones first. 3. Re #1. My headlights dim if I turn the steering wheel whilst stationary or at low speeds/revs (can't really tell moving at speed). The power steering pump being electric may be the cause of this but I've got no idea if that's normal on these. I've not noticed the other electrics affecting it other than perhaps when using the electric windows. I've not had the car long but the battery is coming up two years old according to the receipt.
  4. Hello fellow south-westerner. I was about to post a helpful reply but I see you've found answers in another section of the forum already... it's seems quite good here.
  5. Took a deposit on the Audi today, good timing to get tax back from next month and put the vRS on the road. The name of the colour is actually Memory Red according to the paint code, but yes it does take a certain light for it to look anything other than pink. This one is a bit better.
  6. Hello Briskodians, I'm new to the forum but have looked around the site at various times before I decided on what car to purchase following my 2002 Audi S3. Actually I'm still driving the S3 and hoping to sell it privately soon. The main reason for changing is the running costs, hence choosing a '54 reg Fabia vRS which should somewhat beat my average 24 mpg. My previous cars have been a '96 Polo 1.6 GLX then a '97 Polo 1.4 16v so I've always had something VAG. I'm sure you all know what they look like by now, but here's mine: And the Audi: And one of the Polo's, it looks less Pink in person: That's all for now. Steve
  7. Thanks for the guide David, and other info in this thread guys. I've had to complete this repair this week. The door cards were a lot harder to remove than on my mk4 Polo, hopefully it's a sign of improved build quality, although it could just be the clips. I managed to not brake a few of the clips but one of the holders came off the inside of the card which I've yet to stick back on. I'm going to leave the door cards off for a few days and see if my sealing holds under heavy rain, or get the hosepipe out at the weekend.
