  1. I got the above turbo from xman fitted it and it just won't make boost... It's fitted to my ibiza cupra tdi. If I set it up as xman man tells me to, so 16ingh until to make it hit the stop screw I get about 55% duty and I think the stop screw was about 96 difference. I've had a map from John with increased fuelling and it did make it better, by a very small amount. With John's advice I've also shortened the actuator and put on another map which I'm not sure how it was different to the other he provided. I'm now at 68% duty and 84mbar on the stop screw. I've maybe 1 thread remaining on the stop screw and an already very short actuator! Everything I read says to shorten the stop screw, xman advises to lengthen it. I'm making 0.5 bar at 2k when I should be at 1.5 bar. I'm not on a pc so please bare with my pics. Does anyone have any advice? I'm at my wits end! I'm supposed to be driving this car to Scotland in a few days too! Thanks STOP SCREW DUTY
  2. Wonder wether anyone can help, I've got a new gtb fitted to my car from xman a GTB17/60 and it's not making full boost until 3500rpm and a stock 2260 makes full boost by 2500 so I've a problem somewhere.. John (faboka) thinks I've a vacuum problem so I've currently got a mightyvac on the actuator hose pulling 16inhg and I'm gonna leave it like that for a while to see if its the pipe.. Is there any other pipework from the vacuum box I should be checking that could cause problems? Could it be the vacuum box itself? Any way of testing that on vcds? Or does anyone have any ideas of something else it could be? Thanks
  3. I've fitted a GTB17/60 to my ibiza cupra tdi from xman. Just going through setting the actuator and stop screw now but I've a snag... I've had to shorten the actuator massively and I'm still only at 65% duty but my stop screw reads 48mbar difference and I can't unwind it anymore as there's no threads left... Anyone got any ideas? How am I gonna increase the difference? I had to move the actuator on the bracket slightly as it was hitting the driveshaft. Thanks
  4. Sorry and sorry..... Anyway to make me look more of a penis... It was vag com...
  5. Fresh oil was put in it, no throttle body on a derv
  6. Can anyone help.. I've just fitted a new turbo, 4bar map etc to my cupra and put a stock map on that'll work with the 4bar. Fired straight up no problems, a bit later it took a bit longer to turn over and the glow plug light was flashing revs climbed to 1000 then dropped to normal... Light comes on again and revs are climbing it got to 1400 and I killed the engine panicking... Anyone any ideas? I didn't clear any codes after doing the map, I read the codes and it has a lot of the same code on there about control module code 01314 - intermittent
  7. How slow / fast a leak are we talking? It's only till I can helicoil it
  8. I've snapped a bolt in the head and it's practically welded in, will I have a massive leak if 1 of them isn't screwed in? Its the top right corner one that's snapped Cheers
  9. Anyone know where the pipe that was on the circled bit goes when you egr and cooler delete? I've read all the guides on here for fabias as they're essentially the same but haven't came across this pipe on any of it Cheers
  10. He's in Cumbria and you're better off using the #vagdoctor hash tag on Facebook and messaging him on there
  11. Are you breaking the whole car? I'm after a turbo and I've an ibiza cupra too and interested in your mounts
  12. If you could keep the turbo, down pipe, manifold, clutch/DMF and cat back (guessing that'll fit my ibiza cupra?) Until Saturday next week the latest I'll have them off you.. and if you decide to let the injectors go I'd possibly have them too.. let me know anyway pal Ohand I can thank fabooka for pointing me in this direction! Thanks
  13. One of them might be excess from the other day.... too confused to figure it out
