  1. Just adding my two cents: Huawei Mate 10 pro Android auto installed and used unconnected before setting it up on the Fabia Using a stubby cable and putting phone in front of cup holders https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016A168J4 I think that you need to enable each music app within android auto before you connect it, I know I had to tick Spotify to add it.
  2. I never have anything of major value left in the car, my wallet is a few cards, max £5 in change and rarely more than £20 in notes. The under seat box is just quicker and easier to access for me than the glove box. Plus the extra storage is mostly used for snacks/drinks... Might also be able to convince my fiancée she can have her own bin instead of throwing rubbish on my car floor!!!
  3. Recently acquired an 18 plate 1.0 TSI 95 SE and i'm loving it so far. One thing I miss from my old Ibiza (56 plate) though is the under-seat compartment - it's perfect for putting my wallet/keys in to when I go to the gym! Has anybody fitted these theirselves? I have had seats out before and know they're normally attached by 4x star bits but was wondering if i'd come across any issues with the seatbelt sensors etc? Also, am I looking at the right part? 6J0882602C 9B9 / 6J0882602A 9B9 Misc links: http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/FAB/year/2016/drive_standart/797/hg_ug/881/subcategory/881001/part_id/2540392/lang/e http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-III/Fabia-III-under-the-front-seat-storage-box-original-Skoda-RIGHT http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-III/Fabia-III-under-the-front-seat-storage-box-original-Skoda-LEFT
  4. How much turning did you need to do? With two small flathead screwdrivers I turned the wheel probably about 5 times either way and it just got so taught that it wouldn't go any further without the fear of causing damage to the plastic teeth Did it get progressively tighter when you done it? A link to the thread would be greatly appreciated, I can't seem to find it, cheers
  5. The inner door card is pretty easy to remove if you're able to drill out and re-rivet. You may have problems getting the window free of the carrier though as you have to have the window about 3/4 the way closed to get at the 10mm bolts holding the window to the inner door skin Sounds like your cable or the connection between the cable & motor is buggered A new window regulator off ebay would sort you out and they're consistently priced at £35. There's guides for removing the door card which is pretty simple, the only "special" equipment you will need is a rivet gun and rivets which is a tenner or so The biggest pocket smack at a garage would be labour costs as nobody likes doing door card work as it'll take you a fair few hours!
  6. Hello, I've got a deadlocked front passenger door and I've spent the majority of today getting the door card off and I'm down to the lock mechanism, bodge dremelled the lock to get to the gear and tried both ways but it gets incredibly torqued and if I let go of the screw drivers it 'pings' back... Which way should I be twisting it or is the gear off and broke, and if it's broke how should I proceed? Here's some pictures to try and explain what I mean - Should I be turning towards the front or back of the car and is the increasing tightness normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  7. Also check your hidden glovebox compartment, I had an annoying rattle from there which was undiagnosed until I learnt you could lift the floor of the glovebox up and there's a second hidden bit (with even more service history waheyy!!)
  8. Hey all, I've had a search around already to no avail on this subject, does anyone know of a guide on how to get open/repair a dead door lock? For a few weeks it was whining and half-assedly opening after bashing under the lock to get it to unlock. Now due to my lazy negiligence it's locked completely and I cannot open the door for love nor money. When the inside door handle is pulled the button comes up but as soon as you let go it goes back down, and there's no whining noise from the lock at all when unlocking the rest (none of which whine) I'm also going to be sorting the rear door seals soon as i've found some decent guides and a recent spate of poor weather has pushed it forward on my to do list! If it makes any difference it's an '04 vRS
  9. The rear ends almost look identical tbh, the newer one just looks a bit sharper and less bulgy Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  10. Off of Google, use your imagination a bit. I think they'll look a bit too small on the back but the sharper more modern look will suit it Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  11. And the tow strap, just bolt it on to the tow bolt thread or cable tie it somewhere because let's be honest, only 1% of tow straps are actually there for a reason Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  12. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/151231-fitting-strut-brace-leon-cupra-r-splitter/ google is your friend
  13. Do you mean the text "SKODA" and "FABIA" rather than the emblem in the middle? Why not try it out, and show us!
  14. Jack the car up, take all the wheels off and slowly lower the car on to the ground, it'll be scraping frame! Or alternatively, remove the disc brakes + calipers so you can fit 10 inch diameter wheels for super lows!
  15. Nice prediction that is, my gut feeling is that the Fabia vRS is significant in history as the first major diesel hot hatch and they're due a place in history as a result. I'm just hoping my ****ter will double in price in the next few years like the current BMW 6 cylinder E36 market
  16. Picked up an 04 vRS about a month or two ago for £1100 with moon miles, 4/10 paintwork and suspension in need of new bushes, so far i've loved it! In answer to your thread question: yes they're still a relevant, sensible but fun sporty hatch! My only woe is it's a bit small as i've had golf/octy size cars my whole life until now, but I can still fit in it (6'5")
  17. Aren't you glad I didn't find this thread when you were trying to sell it to me :P
  18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321956999429 also something to consider?
  19. Unfortunately that's one of those grey areas where the coppers decision is as consistent as British weather... I've been pulled over and ticketed for not having my sidelights on 3 minutes after the official "lighting up time" (sun down) in a naturally well lit area because I pulled out a bit quick on a panda car and was in a bit of an arsey mood that day... From a legal point of view isn't there a "specification" that it must adhere to?
  20. Re-bumping old thread, Lidl's batch this year will be stocked on Thursday 14th January - http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-2491.htm?id=740 I've got dibs on the Totton store! £4 car bulbs and £5 window wipers too by the way, no mention of quality though edit: just saw someone posted the link above, doh!!
  21. Hey folks, just wondering if anyone can give me a suggestion on pricing for a spare set of fabia vrs seats? Recently bought a whole set from a breakers just to get the drivers seat, new headrests and new rear bench, but now they're cluttering up my parents house. Had a look on eBay but prices vary quite wildly Condition wise they're all a bit tatty with a tear in the bottom of the drivers seat, just want to get rid of them really, anyone got any ideas? Cheers, Ollie Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  22. I'm looking for this also, emailed the local parts shop for more info but not heard anything back yet
  23. Hate to bump an ancient thread but I cannot find anything else related to the topic. Is there a part number for the original Fabia vRS drivers seat upholstery? I've seen guides on how to remove/replace it but nothing in relation to an OEM replacement for it
