thanks Mike as with you I can live with the slow starting ok, but I am just getting concerned about the rough idle I will get battery checked 1st then as suggested by other member, get it scanned with VCDS Oscar

sorry forgot to add drives perfect & smooth, and doesn't appear to have any noise from flywheel area

hi, my 2005 Octavia 2.0tdi (117000miles) is slow to start when engine is hot, perfect when cold. it has also developed rough idle (again only when engine hot) any ideas would be appreciated thanks Oscar

hi, 2004 Octavia 2.0tdi has rough idle when warm, starts perfect when cold but struggles when warm. any ideas what problem could be? thanks Oscar
