  1. There is a Nextbase hard wired kit available for under £12 on ebay. I also have the 202 model and used this kit. It took less than 15 minutes to fit as it literally plugs in. Plenty of info and photos on the location of the fuse to 'piggy back' from on Briskoda.
  2. Pete T, I too had something missing from my order. Skoda failed to fit the Auto Park to my Superb company car. It came with front and rear sensors but not the side etc. They offered the same as you were. Take it or leave it. Luckily the Lease company were more understanding. As a good will gesture, they fitted a full removable tow kit. This turned out to be a far better option as all the auto park demos I have seen in the office car park have been epic failures.
  3. I have recently had both the front seat belt clips 'creak'. It was due to them rubbing on the sides of the leather seats. I have covered the parts of them that Skoda hadn't and hey presto, silence.
  4. I would think you do have them? Have you pushed the stalk up one notch?
  5. There may be locking nuts fitted. Mine are standard fitted ones which have a plastic cap which match the normal nuts.
  6. This week I managed to do what I said would happen sooner or later. I opened just the boot on the fob and shut it on the button on the boot. This time though, I left the key inside. So, luckily for me I was only 18 miles from home and was with a willing to help work colleague. So after grabbing the spare and retrieving my locked in key I started to think how to stop this from happening again. I messaged Gizmo68 (who recently very kindly made a couple of tweeks to the vcds. One was to allow the boot to close on the fob or cabin button) to ask if the boot fitted button could be disabled, but it can't. So that ruled that out. Then the eureka moment (and sorry if this has been done before and added to the forum). I made a thin but strong blanking cover for the button. Made from a similar plastic to the trim that is stuck over the button with strong double sided tape so can be removed if needed. Already I have reached for the button and had the Doh! moment. It looks ok when the boot is open and I know it can't happen to me again. If it can help anyone else on the forum then my mistake was worth it!
  7. Welcome Jason to the brilliant Briskoda. I'm relatively new to the forum but have learnt so much from everyone. Hope you do too.
  8. Thanks for your help today Martin (Gizmo68). All the VCDS changes are working brilliantly as you said they would. Well beyond me how you did it all. Great to meet you and your family. Thanks again.
  9. I am the proud (company car) owner of a Superb. I opted for the elegance as I love toys. By far the best company car yet. You won't be disappointed. Comfortable, classy and massive!
  10. Brilliant Gizmo68. Ok to pm you with more info?
  11. Hi, I would like a few changes made to my new Superb and after reading lots on the VCDS changes I would like to have the auto close option on the internal button as well as the silencing of the bleeping. Can anyone help with this who owns such a unit in Kent. I'm in Sittingbourne. It goes without saying that I will pay the going rate (whatever that may be.). Thanks.
  12. I have finally got the car last Thursday. The ultimate in comfort. Just a shame that the weather means the roads are so dirty that it doesn't stay clean for long! It will get a good pressure wash, clean and polish this weekend.
  13. Thanks All, As I'm ok with the mechanical side of it but not hot on electrics I have opted for the dealer install. Thanks for all the details and although I won't be doing the job hopefully others will make good use of your advice.
  14. I have an issue with my new car. New Superb Elegance. The phone disconnects from the network when the ignition is turned off ? A few times I have looked at the phone and noticed the mobile network shows no signal. I then have to go 'tick' the Mobile Network box on the phone? Am I doing something wrong? I do love the fact that you can check sms' s on the screen.
