No worries Bigredbus. Picked up new Fabia & the DSG gearbox is fantastic. You should test drive one and then you will know there is a manufacturer with a decent auto box for a small engine.

We were at the dealers yesterday and there is currently a 3 month wait for the new Fabia hatch, so if you want that estate you'd better order it now !!

After 9 months and 11,000 miles we are getting rid of my wife's Citigo 75 Elegance ASG as she hates the gearbox so much. It is a shame as she loves everything else about the car. The final straw came when she was travelling up a steep hill and the car just stopped, causing the car behind to swerve to avoid hitting her !! The good news is we pick up a new Fabia SE 1.2 TSi 110 today, on launch day, with a DSG gearbox.

My wife has the asg gearbox in her 75 Elegance and she hates it !! It is constantly in the wrong gear and has become quite dangerous when you need to make swift progress, such as joining a major roundabout. There have been occasions where the car has almost stopped while it decides what gear to be in. It drives much better in manual, but she refuses to do this , as she says whats the point of an automatic gearbox that you have to change yourself !! Other than that she loves the car and I love my SE 60 with it's manual gearbox.
