  1. Still got these wiper blades anyone interested £15 full set in box brand new. That's @ half price. cheers
  2. Only similar experience I had was a dead short on alternator, Saab, everything from central locking to power steering gave up, warning lights all over dash .
  3. Like he says, wax over it when done
  4. Although the car has been gone a while I still look in here, the forum, however one of the reasons I decided to get rid was the fact I wasn't happy with the gearbox/clutch operation. Sometimes a real pain getting reverse or first and a clattering noise from cold starting appearing to be gearbox related which was getting worse. I had it back twice to dealer who was reluctant to have the clutch and gearbox inspected, stating they wanted me to sign something to agree to pay for work if it was discovered to be down to general wear and tear! This was @20k miles and under 3 years old, still under warranty.
  5. Still got these for sale.
  6. Yes should be fine, give me a message on here. thanks
  7. No longer have the Citigo but have 3 wiper blades still boxed, I got in ready for 1st MOT. 2 front Bosch 1 rear Valeo I paid neck end of £30 delivered if anyone can pick them up you can have them £15, I'm in Durham DH9 area (but also work DH1).
  8. I wasn't too happy with the manual gearbox on mine at 22k, bit of a rattle when cold and sometimes difficult to get reverse or first gears from start up. Car's gone now and to be fair it done everything we needed till I got other things in life sorted out. They're still popular plenty 17 plates around I notice.
  9. Had mine in yesterday, heat shield replaced(I didn't think it was the problem noise anyway)but the rattling back again from cold this morning. Stops once clutch pedal is pressed, searched threads on here seems likemine has this common problem now it's got a few miles on. Did anyone get a successful result from dealer while under warranty? I only got 3 months warranty left.
  10. Possibly alternator fault, had similar (although not with Skoda).
  11. mine's green, thing is it always looks clean even though I don't wash it very often, maybe one a fortnight or 3 weeks .wouldn't be my first colour choice but the price was right at the time. Workmates take the p*** but I just think it sits in the car park all day loosing money, and at lot less money than theirs! £15 a week in fuel, taxed it yesterday £20, and £127 FC insurance for myself and wife, gets from A to B in the same time as any other car in rush hour traffic.......suddenly I love Green!!
  12. Exactly, first car I've had without heated mirrors for 20 yrs not the end of the world but it's still a pain having to remember every damp morning.
  13. Good luck with your new car, first thing I noticed when I got mine was how easy it is on the pocket. Great A to B car. Sadly circumstances dictate I might need to get an estate car soon, but I'm hanging on to the Citigo with fond memories.

    Auto hold

love this feature, first time I had in on a car and I live in a very hilly area.
  15. pity you weren't near to me I'd weld it for you in 5 mins if you take it off car. Look around locally for fabrication/wrought iron/steel gates manufacturers, just a small outfit or one man company who'll do it for next to nowt.
  16. Second service next week, quoted £130 - haggled down to £100 but guess its quick once over, aircon check, pollen filter and oil change and filter by the looks of it.

    Bought one!

good luck with the car, great buy!
  18. Had my SE model about 18 months now, no issues. I just needed something to get to work and back, sits in a car park all day, does everything I need for cheap running costs, no tax etc. Been on a few longer runs andafter a couple of hours you know about it but they're not built for Motorway cruising. Plus side is well above 60mpg (sometimes 70) on good runs ! Can't knock it.
  19. I did same as you, and got tired of shelling out for Saab bits all the time. Loved the Saab but the Skoda costs buttons to run. it gets me from A to B just the same, you'll find you're up and down the gearbox now but after a week or two you'll forget the Saab. good luck.
  20. Ive an SE model, daily commute returns mid around 56 mpg, thats @14 miles each way rarely above 40 mph. Much higher mpg on motorway keeping at 70 mph. What I have noticed if you in an area with a lot of hills and your up and down the gearbox a lot or relentless stop start in traffic, then the overall average drops a lot more than other cars I've had, (my old Saab Diesel chugged away @48mpg no matter where it went and what speed)
  21. I got some paperwork printed off with a receipt showing what work was carried out, this was also stored on the electronic system.
  22. Got a brand new wheel and spacesaver tyre £29 delivered off Ebay, theres a good few on now.It was advertised as used but it's never been on a car.
  23. It shouldn't stall, what is its' idling RPM? I think mine is @600 RPM check in a while. Might just need increased a bit. Anyway fill it up with fuel, get down the gearbox a bit quicker than you used to, forget about the petrol guage and enjoy your new car!!!
