  1. Ahh same system I’ve got now, I find it way to loud these days and think a resonator delete is more than good enough for these cars
  2. Hi have you got the standard exhaust back box ? If so how much would you like for that. Thanks
  3. Bit late but an update on this after running the new HPFP within a week the issue resolved itself, since then it’s never came back and the car runs perfect again 🙂
  4. I was thinking that but not sure tbh as now the car shows no faults on VCDS
  5. Still can’t seem to find the culprit bro although, it seems to have gone away literally and no where near as bad as before the HPFP change, which I can sort of live with
  6. Hi all it's been a while since I've been on here. My current car a MK2 vRS, all was well until a month or two ago when the car began having idle issues after starting it cold or warm. Vagcom eventually showed a fault code of P2188 - Bank 1 system too rich at idle / intermittent. Now after researching this I found various possible issues and most people advised changing the high pressure fuel pump. So today I fit my brand new high pressure fuel pump and the issue went .... until I took the car for a drive and turned it off to check the oil, came back to the car started it and the rough idle was back with the revs jumping between 600-800 rpm. The only way to stop it from doing that is to rev the engine a little and suddenly all is normal again. It's weird as both LTFT and STFT where way off previously suggesting the HPFP was to blame, I have looked at most vacuum hoses and cant see any cracked or ripped etc. I changed the sparkplugs and fuel filter around 2k miles ago, oil and oil filter today. Starting to think it's time to let a VAG specialist look at it as now it looks like I could be changing 100 things and not know exactly what it is. Has anyone had an issue like this before, or something similar on the 1.4tsi with a resolution ?
  7. Sorry to bump an old thread lads but mines done it since I've owned it, on cold starts its a very very slight with mainly black which then goes when warmed up, when driving its clean and on boost hardly smokes black at all
  8. Near enough same as mine as said previously it's a boost leak most likely
  9. Wouldn't bother mate I know two prevoius owners and the cars gave trouble to both ps. It has been ragged around brum like a tart
  10. Haven't posted in a while since I've had the vrs. I was driving down to Manchester a few days ago and the car started to become really warm as if the heating was turned on, I noticed really hot air blowing from all vents like they was on the number 3 setting. I decided to turn the heating setting from hot to cold, close all vents and turn the setting to front vents only. It worked but then cold air was still blowing out the feet vent The more I put my foot down the faster it would start blowing, has any one else had this problem and found a way to get around it or fix it ? (ps. Got a long drive to essex next weekend and I can't be dealing with heating lol) Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
