No, I haven't. My car was not affected by that case. Yes, disassembled the air intake all the way in to the turbo, and fastened it when I put it back together. Noise was there both before and after I did so.

Hi guys. English is not my mother tongue, so I'll try to explain as good as I can, and hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about. I have a 2010 Superb Elegance 2,0TDI 140hp. Last week, about Wednesday I got this weird sound in my car when i started up heading for a shop. The sound dissapeared halfway there (3min drive). When i left the shop there was no sound, but after i started up again after my second stop, there was this rattling/knocking sound from the engine bay area. After several people (with knowledge in the area of cars and mechanics) have heard the sound, I still don't have a clue what it can be. The suggestions vary from crankshaft bearings to fuel injectors to oil. Since I changed oil early this summer to a cheap brand here in Norway, I thought maybe this could be the solution, so that was where I started. The banging noise seems to me that it comes from around the turbo and intake. When I feel the engine itself there is only the usual vibration from it, but when I hold my hand on the airfilter-box I can feel every beat this noise makes. The noise follows the revs of the engine and is a destinguished bang from one of the sylinders in may seem. If there was from several sylinders there would be many more bangs per rev than it is. Since I put some cheap oil in the engine earlier, I thought maybe the oil was too fat to reach the top of the engine where the valves and the camshaft is, so I thought i would start there and see what happens. Today I changed the oil again, with a new oil filter and a new plug at the bottom with the right oil with the right spesifications for my engine, but the noise didn't go away when I testdrove my car. When the engine reaches 'maximum hotness', the sound comes and goes. Do you think the oil needs to circulate the engine a couple of days of driving or do you think that there is a problem with valve/fuel injector/camshaft or something? Could it be a crack in the exhaust from the engine block or manifold that brings out these bangs?

Hi. My preheater won't work with my remote control, only inside with the button on dash. Do any of you guys know if I have to take it to he dealer or if there is a way to connect the remote with the car easily? It seems that the remote and the car doesn't recognize eachother. I press the button, and nothing happens. In my 2015 VW Caddy, there is the same system. I can press the button on the remote and the diesel warmer starts instantly. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sorry for the late reply, but it didn't work. Should i just bite the dust and leave it for the mechanics to fix it, or do anyone have any suggestions?

I will try that when I go out to the car. However, the mechanic said they tried to run each motor alone and they heard a noise when they got to this specific one. Like the motor spins, but the flap won't open :(

Hi. Before I start, I would like to apologize for bad english, so bear with me. I had my car in for diagnosis earlier, and they found out that the latch(?) for the heater on the right side of the interior won't open. On the left side everything is normal and heat is coming out. It's kind of boring always being cold on my right hand when driving :-) (left hand steering) They told me it could take up to several days to fix it, and with the prices here in Norway, it is a little out of my range to get them to fix it. So, my question is; Do any of you have had this problem, or do any of you have some manual to get to it? :-) If anything is unclear, please ask. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I may reccomend that you try Plasti Dip :-) Something like this http://biltema.se/sv/Bilvard/Farg-och-Lack/Gummifarg-3654/ But I would try it on something that's not supposed to go on the car first, in case it won't work. This is very easy to use, and very simple to take off again if you change your mind about the look :-) And it's cheap ;-) Do post pictures if you decide to go for it :clap:

Sorry, forgot to write that. I was in to a quick search for errors at a shop, but no errors on the lights. I plan to go in again for something else. Maybe I should make them check the error while I stay in there with them?

Yes. But the Kelvin scale is just color temperature of the light. Both with LED and Xenon ;-)

It might look like the one on the left is 6000K and the one on the right is 8000K? If it was the color you meant? :-) This might help

I realize that the post is old, but I have a question about AFS lights. Every time I start the car, my lights goes; Down, Out, In, Up again. However, every second time I start my car, my right lens stays in down position and does not go up again, and then an error appears in Maxidot. Something about AFS Light Bending is not available or something. Is there anyone out there who can help me? :clap:

Do you know if this is hard to learn to use? :-) Thank you very much. In my personal opinion I think the Superb is a really comfortable and a good car. I'm very happy with my purchase. :-) No pictures yet, unfortunately. Will take some, and post them in a couple of days :-)

I know I am new here, and a new owner of Skoda in general. But I sometimes see that when I unlock my car my LH lights are not turning on. So when i press the unlock button again (without locking it) it turns on, have you tried that?

Hi. I recently bought a 2010 Superb Elegance 2.0 TDI 140hp DSG It seems that I have the fog light housing without the DRL sockets on the side of the foglights. Does anybody have a step by step guide on how to put them in and wire it all so it would seem "original"? :-) Sorry for wrong terms or bad english. Not my first language.
