None different than before Oz. We are just heading into the cold months on the east coast so will see how it goes.

That's great news Oz. Mine took 2 days but only because they forgot to order new sump bolts. At least they wont rush it through which I think is better.

Oz push them to get it done. They didn't even do a oil consumption test on my car. Skoda just told them to put in the new squirters. I had reported 7L in 10,000kms when we first started talking to the dealer.

My mistake. Just had a look and it is build date March 2012. First sold in November 2013 in Australia.

Mine only took a day. Well technically 2 but they forgot to order new sump pan bolts. If and when you do have the squirters done make sure they install new sump pan bolts as these are a one time use only item.

Small Update from Australia. After 9 weeks and approx. 4500kms my car has used around 450-500ml of oil after the installation of the squitters. Fuel consumption is normal (as it was before the fix). Much better than the 900ml / 1000km I was getting. Daniel

Oz, didn't get any numbers. I will contact them and see if I can get anything. So far so good. Does not seem to be using any more fuel.

Hi goneoffSki. Car is a 2013 model with the CAVE motor. I bought it with 6500km in the clock. Knew it was using around the 1L per 1000km and wasn't to concerned. Took it in for a service at 15000km and asked the dealer to have a look. They sent it to the local Skoda guys who made some inquiry's with Skoda Australia. The verdict was to not worry about testing it just install the squirters. Could not get it done until after Christmas. The car went in in Feb with 21000km approx. on it. Car now has 25500kms and is using very little oil. Nothing else has been done to it.

Hey guys. I am one off the guys from Australia that have had the squirters installed. I can certainly say for my car that the squirters have definitely made a difference. I was topping up with a litre every couple of weeks. 800-1000kms or so. Since the fix 8 weeks ago I have done around 4000kms and have yet to top it up. Going to check it this weekend but maybe used about 250ml. I don't ever think these engines will get a 100% fix to stop them using oil due to there nature of being twin charged but any fix is better than nothing.

I have 2 Miniature Aussie Bulldogs.

Take it back to the dealer and don't take no for answer. My RS easily revs past 4000rpm in all gears. If you cannot get it above 4000 ask them to check it out with the computer.

I have been getting the same calls in Australia. I have been keeping them on the phone to the point I get accused of annoying them. One even told me to not ring them again
