question put to Skoda UK, but no answer expected: 'My Octavia having covered just 26,000 miles and just out of warranty, has had to have a 'US' made DPF sensor replaced (at £215) replacement part no.S1K0131552F, looking at various reports this item would appear to be a very common fault, and there have been suggestions that it should have been the subject of a recall! can I ask why those owners with this item fitted have not been notified of its possible failure?' before taking my 2008 Octavia vrs tdi cr dsg back to the dealer, does anyone know why the average mpg would have dropped from around 46mpg to 38mpg following its first service early in October? I had been hoping it would improve again- but it hasn't.

I had this problem with my previous octavia, it went back to the dealer so many times i lost count. The problem was only resolved when the drivers side airbag in the seat was replaced.

my old '05 l&k octavia never steamed up, but my new vrs octavia, used to commute and parked in the exact same way- just needs a bit of sun during the day and will regularly steam up. Are Skoda using different door seals? there must be something that can be done?

has anyone fitted milotec b&c pillar covers to their mk.2 Octy? are they a good secure fit?

my sub 700 mile vrs tdi cr dsg estate, recently managed on a 4 hour trip to the west country- 49.8 mpg. On a regular 10 mile trip, from cold, to work it is averaging 46 mpg- suites me.

ordered on line, and awaiting delivery- I have specified dimming mirrors with auto wipers + lights, wanting the 'light assistant effect' I am now wondering if I will be just be getting lights that come on after the wipers have been activated for a while? would any one know?

Do not know if I will get this right, but here goes. I have had 3 very good years owning a 2.0tdi l&k octvia estate (mk 2), manual, its only done 23,000 mile, so will be a very good buy for someone. My replacement due at the end of september will be a 2.0 tdi cr dsg estate with a number of extras- but no leather. Does anyone have any idea how much this can be done for? as I have not received an answer from the 'seat surgeons' Regards
