  1. I'll probably leave it on until it goes in for its next service then i'll get a new oem filter
  2. Cool, thanks for your help - I'll have a check. If any of you kind guys have any other ideas about the panel filter, please share them. Cheers.
  3. I'll ask the dealer if they can change at the next service when I hit 30k (currently on 28.5k to be exact). My car was registered in November 2013, and I bought it as an ex-demo in April 2014. I'm assuming it's already had the DSG work carried out but not entirely sure. As for software updates it's been in for two services with the dealers. Would they carry out any software updates as part of the service? I can ask when I next take it in.
  4. Yeah, it's a bit strange really. It could just be me, but it seems to certainly be lacking the 'kick' it had before. Might go back to a fresh oem filter instead and sell VWR one!
  5. Yes brand new filter bought from AwesomeGTI (pre-oiled). The filter is very similar to the one in the link you've provided, but VWR's brand. As far as I know the spark plugs are the original ones and probably won't be changed until roughly 40k miles unless i get the dealer to change them at my next service (due soon). Car's been running flawlessly though, touch wood, just strange how it seems a bit down on power!
  6. Hi guys, I own a 13 plate Ibiza cupra (wrong forum I know but I find this forum more active than the seatcupra forum) and recently fitted a new VWR panel filter which replaced a dirty OEM paper filter that's been fitted for nearly 30k miles. I wasn't expecting much/any gain to be honest but my car actually feels like it has less power lol. Don't know if it's just me....but I've checked the fitting (hard to fit incorrectly, eh?) and all seems fine. With the paper element I had a lovely kick in third gear from 5k rpm up to the red line, but don't get this as much now. Unless the power delivery is even more linear than previously? Anyone had this or have any ideas? Sorry for posting about a cupra, but it's generally the same as a vrs, right? Cheers. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  7. They will have a 'sporty' model at some point. It's typical of all car manufacturers to release the sportier model later than the baseline models.. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  8. Can't say i noticed much difference in the cupra! (got to about 32ish degrees by me)
  9. It's a 63 plate and white with black pano roof. Was quite funny, saw it in the distance and thought it looked smart then as I got closer I recognised the reg. Quite strange seeing a car on the road you've only seen on forums! [emoji1] Sent from my Vodafone 785 using Tapatalk
  10. Hey Richard, I was a couple of cars behind you today, by the liberty stadium at about 4pm-ish. Don't post much on here but always reading threads and recognized your number plate i was in an ibiza cupra.
  11. Hey Richard, do you park your car in SA1 by any chance? see a white monte with black roof when i walk across the bridge to work?
  12. Thanks for the input guys, i'll probably use a jubilee clip. If anyone knows the name of the second clip please let me know
  13. i think the size i need is 70mm diameter. Thanks for your help, i'll keep browsing to see if I can find one!
  14. it's the second one i'm after, I have no idea what they're called :P does anyone know if they're available on ebay/amazon?
  15. Hi guys. Daft question but does anyone know what the name of the type of hose clamps used to clamp the air ducting to the intake and stock air box is? I damaged one with a pliers when removing and would prefer an exact replacement instead of a standard hose clamp. Cheers!
  16. I sold you that..it's dispatched and should be with you soon [emoji2] it is virtually brand new. The only reason I took it off is because my cupra is still under warranty and was paranoid that something might go wrong and maybe voiding it. Hope you enjoy it, cost me 300 new [emoji12]
