  1. Is the Felicia 1.9d gearbox the same as the one used in caddy/Felicia pickup?
  2. Yes thanks Clive, I did write up a post, but it seems the heading was all that posted! So will a Felicia car gearbox 1.9d suit a 99 Felicia/caddy pickup also 1.9d? Wats the yr of the car pls Clive? in case it makes any difference.
  3. thanks for the reply guys, Maybe i should try changing the oil first? it only whines when im pulling off in first but it is bad! . when its cold its pretty much impossible to get it into 2nd or 3rd. if i hold it in place long enuf it will slide in with a "crunch".... i work in a garage and the guys there said id prob be wasting my time changing the oil the way it is. but they dont know much about these. i was thinking of taking out the box and getting it off to a gearbox centre to see if they could fix it, or maybe it would be easier and cheaper to look for a gearbox from another caddy pickup or a felicia pickup as you have said? it needs a clutch and i have tried my hand at sorting out the linkage by removing the old "bolts" part of the two linkages and replacing them with nuts and bolts but now the top of the bolt is catching on the bar that runs along side the linkage bar and its hard to get her into fifth, im going to search for a tread on here as to how its done "properly" if anyone knows of such a tread please link it to me. thanks a mil. M
  4. I have a 1.9sdi caddy pickup that crunches 2nd and 3rd and also whines like a mule when i try pull off in 1st,(input shaft bearing?) is this gearbox toast or could a gearbox centre fix it? if it cant be fixed would a skoda felicia pickup box fit or are they a bit different? help very much appreciated.
