So I picked mine up this morning, it’s a brilliant car love it already. Only done 50 miles and traffic was heavy but it ticks all the boxes for me.

Went to Skoda garage today, as my VRS 245 got off the transporter yesterday. I will be collecting on Saturday I am so excited now. The car looks mint, just what I wanted. I did have a chat with the sales manager whilst I was there, and spoke about the suspended production, he told me that Skoda made a massive mis-calculation on the PCH deal and is losing money on it, hence the orders have been stopped. I wouldn't mind betting that the orders that have been pushed back are the PCH ones in the hope that people pull out on their own accord. Mine is a PCP deal and was made and delivered in about 9 weeks. I know this won't help you guys out but it does explain a little as to the issue. The garages seem to know about this so I would speak to them about the situation. It sounds like if you hang in there you will get a good deal so if you are happy to wait I would.

Had confirmation today that my 245 will be delivered tomorrow at the dealers, so should have it by the weekend. Exciting stuff. Quick question though, I was told when I bought it that the black surrounds around the fog lights were body colour unless you paid the £104.17 + VAT for Cornering Front Fog Lights with black surround. Can anyone confirm if this is the truth? I haven't seen any VRS 245's without the black surrounds, at the moment I have paid the money but will discuss with them on Wednesday if you confirm whether I've been had on here or not?

Can't comment on the exhaust note, all I can comment on is that front end is gorgeous. Great photo. I wasn't sure on the split headlights at first but this photo has convinced me I have made the right choice. Super excited about collecting mine in a few weeks.

Had an awesome call this morning, been told my car is built and sat in the docks across the water awaiting shipping, could have my car as soon as the end of this month. Not bad saying as when I ordered at the end of September they said end of January or February for delivery.

Must be a the DSG that’s holding up production then.

I just don’t get how the build weeks vary so much, I know the extras makes a huge difference but mine has about 10 extras including DCC, panoramic roof, auto boot, and Canton. The only thing I can think is I went manual not DSG.......

So I ordered mine at the end of September and had the call today, it’s being built at the moment it was meant to be week 44 so not bad going and I should be able to collect in about a month. So excited. Love the look of your meteor grey one GazTwo that’s what I’m going for too.

I ordered my 245 Estate, with 9 or 10 extras on 28th Sept, and was told on Wednesday that this would be build week 46 with delivery 4 - 6 weeks after that. It sounds like there are a fair few 245's in production with estimated delivery around Christmas so perhaps they will all come over together.

Mines a manual estate, hopefully the week number given is correct. Although a longer lead-in would give me more time to get the pennies together to pay for it lol.
