  1. All seems strange, if you have broken 4 turbos @ an average of 50k that's 200k miles!!! Maybe time to get another car! I have a Toyota Celica (St 165) 1988. I have owned this car for years and it still has the original turbo and over 220k miles. I also have a Skoda Fabia 1900 TDI which has been nothing but trouble from the day I bought it. My advice to you is sell it and buy Japanese.
  2. The Alternator Load Sense line was one of the first things I tried. In fact that was part of a problem I had with the power steering. Normally you can check the load sense line by running the engine and check the Alt voltage at idle (it will be the same as the Bat voltage) and there will be no bat light on the dash with the ignition on. I know the ABS is working because I live in the middle of no where and I tested it out side the house and you can hear and feel it working. In the last year it has had a new cambelt, battery, discs and pads, tyres and sailed through the MOT except for the ASR light.
  3. The only fault codes are. 01314--Engine Control Module. Sporadic 013--Check DTC Memory. P0118--Engine Coolant Temp Circuit High Input. P0183--Fuel Temp Sensor A Circuit High Input. There doesn't seem to be anything relating to the ASR system.
  4. Surely if there was anything wrong with wheel sensors I would have an ABS fault. It went through an MOT and only failed on the asr light. I'm trying to figure out if there's any link between all three problems. The quality of wiring is truly awful. Some wires are stretched like guitar strings and where it is bound with tape it looks like the person who did it was wearing boxing gloves.
  5. Hi there, the car is a 2005 1900tdi. I have had no end of electrical problems with this car. This is electrical problem number 34. My problem is asr light illuminated, plus coolant sensor failure, plus fuel temp sensor failure. I have changed the fuel and coolant sensors and tried to clear the faults but they are still there. Any one got any ideas? Cheers
