  1. Ooooh just checked with the other half and dad it's actually the clutch master cylinder, after playing with clutch pedal you get pressure back in pedal.
  2. My clutch has more or less gone but not slipping at all, it's on 118k so can't really complain although after storm Doris it's the last thing I need!! After speaking to the other half I'm thinking of changing the DMF to an SMF not that bothered about an increase in the noise tbh. Only replaced the battery yesterday too!
  3. Hiya, I cancelled sky due to a house move, temporarily moved in with parents so to save money cancelled full package (they still have a satellite feed so could benefit from using it in 30 days notice). After about 10-15 days from it going off I had a phone call giving me a brilliant offer, full sky (less hd package) for £28.50 a month (I get all channels bar hd, all sports and movies plus on demand services) when on the phone I stated I'd have to speak to my partner and would someone call me back, they advised it was a today only deal so he went off and came back with an offer to credit my account with £100 so I wouldn't have to pay for 3 months! I accepted and when checking my sky account that evening the £100 had been applied and Unknown to me my account was also in credit of £33 so brilliant! We watch the movies and the sports so it's worth it for us. I did try now tv which was ok for movies but for sports a month pass is £30+!!!!! It's worth leaving it a few weeks just to see.
  4. Hi guys after some help please! My vrs (SE 2007) has developed a problem with its central locking on drivers side door only. It started about a week ago, when unlocking via remote it would unlock all doors except drivers, locked the car via remote then unlocked again and the pin came up. However now it's getting so much worse, trying the key manually does not help at all same problem. If you hear the door from inside it sounds like something working quite hard to try to unlock. My question is this likely to be the motor in the drivers side door and if so is it quite easy to resolve? Cheers, Niki
  5. I was at Inters, was expecting to see a fair few. mine was in car park, saw a couple on the sprint, a lovely brown one in show and shine, couldn't seem to find club stand though :-/
  6. When a trolley finds itself at the back of my car with a nice paint ding!! Argh! my furby was looking rather nice ready for its trip to Inters in 2 weeks (only in the car park mind!)
  7. Gibraltar does take most forms of currency but will do the whole exchange rate thing, I found it best paying by debit card whenever we bought stuff in Gib, also always mention your cruise ship as I've been told you get additional discounts! Have fun!
  8. Hiya! I agree with a few others about getting neons first, and not over filling. We ended up stopping buying the livebearing fish as we found casualties after birth! So ended up sticking to some simple but lovely looking tropicals. We introduced crabs to our tank a few years back and oh my word the buggers got out of the tank! Scary! We use Maidenhead aquatics or World of Water for our fish up here, very good for advice as well. Our plants grow in our living wood branch we have in, we also have an aeration pump that runs during the day as our tank is rather large and the fish seem to be happy enough (from what I can tell!!!) What's great is whenever I walk near the tank they always think it's feeding time! Happy fish keeping!! :-)
  9. We have a fluval Venezia 190 (a lovely corner tank!), which I must admit is lovely looking but a darn pain in the backside when it needs cleaning out! Currently calling the tank home are: 2 x angel fish, 2 x ruby sharks, numerous tetras of all sorts And a rather large Plec which is now 8 years old!!!
  10. My first car was a C reg snot green micra, had many a grumpy afternoon outing with dad learning to drive, even did the back roads from warrington to Blackpool for my driving course! We bought the car for £100 and managed to sell for £150 a year later! I cherished the car I nicknamed Heffer (last letters of reg was HFR) constantly cleaning on weekends etc! However when I went on to pass my test it was in Ernie (last letters of reg was ERN), my N reg Corsa! Upgraded then to a 2001 1.4 Polo, lovely in Red, not nicknamed really as my private plate went straight on! This was great to me/us for 7 yrs then due to a few running issues and needing something efficient and reliable I opted for a change to my gorgeous Fabia and never looked back! Loving my SE, wouldn't change for the world! Great to read others first cars!
  11. mine had its second change yesterday at 101,000 miles, just to keep her tip-top! Had an interim service too as not long purchased so had the once over done
  12. Hiya! Glad you got a decent price on this, I went to view & test drive it around Christmas and actually put a deposit on it. Was gutted when we got home and did a bit of research so rang up for my deposit back. The guy there wouldn't budge on price at all so I took the decision to walk away. Really happy with my SE which I got a week later. Have fun! Niki
  13. Thank you very much for the ideas, I will have my other half and dad have a look this weekend.
  14. Hi All Just after a bit of advice please, had my SE just over a month now and on Saturday whilst driving down our street (over the darn speed humps!) the car started squeaking at the front. I do not drive fast over them at all - I learnt that lesson a number of years back in my old corsa! Sometimes you don't hear it at all but just wondering if it's something to worry about that needs checking? Cheers Niki
  15. What a programme! Half way through first episode and loving it! Not stopped laughing! Riding the bike up the stairs out the shop top bloke!!
  16. Hi, I've just got my first diesel and I'm so happy with my VRS, saving money on fuel, same tax as my previous car (1.4 Polo 2001). I would buy a car for what you want and not worrying about what the government may do sometime in the future. Live for the here and now, get a VRS and enjoy it!!
  17. Hi!! Thanks for the welcome hellos! Will be posting some pics once furby has had a little tlc. Loving the forum.
  18. It's going really well thank you! it's so much fun. I'm also new to the forum and finding myself obsessed, I can relate to the other half now, with all his forums! Had the furby just shy of a month and I'm not looking back ready to give it a bit of tlc when the weather gets better!
  19. I also don't think it had the cruise control (could be wrong tho!) when I went on the test drive I mentioned finally having cruise woo hoo and my other half said I don't think it has it , why ruin such a nice car? And also why still try to sell at a high end price which is not what it is. I'm so glad I got out of this one, was ready for a fight if required, just feel for the poor sod who's gonna pay over the odds for it not realising and then won't be able to sell. Personally when I was first looking for a vrs I wasn't looking at SE's as they were just above my budget and at the time I thought I'd prefer the cloth seats, problem being I loved the colour and then when backing out of this one my other half had a task on his hands to find me a proper SE! Now I'm happier with the leather and all the other bits that my SE has!
  20. I had been to see this just before Christmas and it was only after putting a deposit on it we realised something wasn't quite right so rang the next day and got deposit refunded and they brought down the advert from both their website and auto trader, defo something really dodgy!! Condition of the car was very good paintwork was fine and it drove ok but was obviously missing a few components leather seats, privacy glass. When my partner rang identifying these problems the garage seemed well aware and said it won't bother everyone, someone will buy it. Niki
  21. Hi everyone! I'm the proud new owner of my first furby, #729 special edition and loving it! Don't know why I've left it so long to get one, I'm having so much fun!! Coming from a 2002 vw polo 1.4 is quite a difference in comparison to my furby but even from the long drive home I could tell I'd made the right choice, it was very natural and felt like it was meant to be! I also dug out a little old friend to join me on my many journeys (check him out on the pic!) he definitely suits the car!! I will post more pics shortly!!
