  1. It seemed to fix itself. I believe the window was too tight with the wind deflectors in it so after they were in a while and loosened, the window worked fine. Thanks for advice guys
  2. I have just fitted the Heko wind deflectors to my car and the front drivers window was a bit awkward as the window would reach the top and come back down again with the safety mechanism. Got the window to go up and stay up but now after all that fun, the very top push on the window button which makes it go up automatically and the same for down. This has stopped working! Have I unprogrammed it?
  3. I had mines done at 115k miles and car was 5 years old
  4. shes a 2011 facelift VRS, car in my head is driving like new. She's in great nick. But I have been tempted for long time to remap it. Ive been told by a tuner he could get it to 200/205bhp. which from what i see is a reasonable figure for a standard vrs. My probs is the high miles of the car. Any advice? (I dont drive like an idiot, I drive normal most of the time with the odd time of horsing her on just to get the cobwebs out or if I want to overtake quickly . )
  5. So I decided to take the light out and dry it out. Fairly easy to remove and got the whole headlight dry with a hairdrier. Put it back in the car and almost as bad again. Not the same large droplets of water in it but just all misted up whereas drivers side has very small "normal" amount. Looks like Im going have to fork out the £350 to get it changed for new Upsides is she passed MOT this morn with 126K miles on her no hassles and needed nothing for MOT
  6. I must have the facelift version as not the same light but thanks for looking
  7. I have had a look at the back of the light and nothing seems loose or where water should be getting in. I had a look at other posts where maybe the rubber stop at the back of the bulb may be loose or missing. With the zenon self leveling lights, there is a box at the back instead of a rubber disc and it seems secure. My headlight only on passenger side is bad with water in it, very bad condensation. I was quoted by skoda, £350 for a new unit!!! I have seen normal headlights on ebay for £80. Could I not bolt on the zenon lights etc onto this cheaper light?? or will I have to buy this £350 unit?? Thanks in advance Philip
  8. Sorry only getting this now. Yea it runs well. easier on fuel by 3-4 mpg and smoother at really low rpm. She used to jutter badly in 6th at 34mph, she can now happyily sit at 30mph in 6th
  9. Any help here, not a big issue but just annoying! Philip
  10. This only happens when going from 5th or 6th gear into 3rd in the vrs. It may happen once every 10 times but it feels like a catch on the right side. The gear itself is fine, no crutching but it seems to catch before it goes into gear. What could this be? And is it cheap fix. Am not mechanically minded lol
  11. Try adjusting it, my wifes car bonnet was slightly out DS3 and i twisted up the rubber bump and sorted it. Seen a few DS3s with the bonnets since slightly out. Il assume the octavia estate is the same
  12. She has on potenza 5001 tyres. Looks like S001. I'm just curious if most normal vrs will easily spin on 2nd. If not am wondering if she's mapped
  13. Curious, 2nd gear is an absolute beast. It spins the wheels no probs on dry roads!
  14. Am having this done here saturday of next week as my skoda has big miles on it but she runs well. Anyone else had their skoda done??
  15. Just got the car today. Wheel spin in 2nd gear on dry roads so plenty poke. Lovely driving car. Very smooth and nice having built in sat nav and heated seats Makes nice change from 1.5 Clio which was pretty much standard lol
  16. How's the driving experience going? Bet it's fun!
  17. Getting car tomorrow! She's full year mot, full years tax just on her and set to go. Can't wait to get another drive in the beast
  18. How you finding the new car? I pick up my 2011 diesel VRS estate on monday. Cant wait!!
  19. Picking up my 2011 tdi CR vRS octavia estate on monday night. Never owned a skoda but always like them the past number of years. The VRS is very good on the fuel considering the power of her. Will def be getting her remapped to 200bhp after few months! Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. How much miles on the car? You considered a terraclean?
