Mk2 Octavia Vrs Steering/Electrical Problem
ChrisClough replied to ChrisClough's topic in General Maintenance
(The screenshot was taken from a video I took, jamming the phone in the steering wheel between traffic stops). Just before anybody has a go at me for that haha. -
Hey guys, I'd be grateful if somebody could shed some light on a problem I'm having with my Mk2 Octavia Vrs Tdi. The problem is completely random with regard to occurance, (though it only tends to happen below 50mph weirdly). Whilst driving, the engine will stutter, revs will drop slightly, varying the accelerator position does nothing, the warning lights stated below come on for the stated time, then everything returns to normal. This has only ever happened once out of the blue (I took the car to Skoda with the car under warranty at the time). No fault codes or visible problems could be found. I've a look around myself, charged the battery, etc.. Lights (the following flash on quickly, before extinguishing); ABS - Amber. Tyre Pressure Warning - Amber. ESP Traction Control - Amber. Brake Warning - Amber. T.C Off - Amber. Power Steering - Amber (Stays on for 20 - 25 seconds after before extinguishing). So yeah, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Chris

Hey Colin, Thanks! Apologies for the delay. Just received these posts now for some reason :S I shall look into the site thanks! Chris -
Hey guys! Just joined after a few months of lurking on the forum. Currently driving a 2010 Octavia vRS TDI and have yet to drive anything as brilliant. A couple of weeks ago I traveled to Minehead to shoot a small film with the vRS as part of a small hobby of mine. The film in question; I know that this sub-forum is dedicated primarily to photography, but I was curious, do any of you have an videos alike the one above? Cheers, Chris
