  1. I had really bad squeaks from the door rubbers. Narrowed it down to wiping the inside of the door aperture with the same cloth as the outside paintwork. It must have left some kind of wax trace from the car wash product over the rubbers that then squeak like hell over any uneven surface. My fix was to put some washing up liquid in a bowl of warm water, sponge down the rubbers and any paintwork they touch, then thoroughly dry off with a clean kitchen towel. ( making sure you use the topside of the kitchen towel as the bottom will scratch the paint) Mine are quiet now but did take a couple of tries. Mines just been back in dealers today for new clutch pedal and bearings and they have washed it, cue the squeaks!
  2. Price reduced again to £3500 ono if anyone is interested. Make me an offer i cant refuse. I have 15+ pics available to send if required.
  3. Haha, there is always room for a little mini!...... Just reduced price to £3750 if that helps anyone?
  4. Thanks, that would be brilliant. I will add my phone number to the above post to make it easier for people to contact me.
  5. Hi, I have my mini for sale due to a change in circumstances. Its a 1995 'N' plate rover mini cooper single point injection in Tahiti blue. It has covered just over 70k and is in good condition. Obviously it has marks and a couple of scabs here and there as it is 21 years old but overall in good condition. The main areas are just under the headlight that is bubbling up under the paint but everywhere else is pretty good. This is not a rot box like so many others, a genuine good motor that can be enjoyed for a few years before needing anything serious. It has had new front floor pans and sills in July 2015 along with new suspensions cones, steering column bushes, thermostat, various trims and a solid subframe mounting kit all in the last month. It has MOT till October 2016 and is ready for the summer to enjoy. Full leather, original wooden dash, original cooper alloys and sunroof. This is a genuine cooper as shown on the v5, not a copy like so many out there. Priced at £3500 Ono. Thanks for looking and let me know if you want to know anything. Call Me:- 07812 051606 - Adam
  6. Hi, yes I had another one. A 2015 spaceback instead of the 2014 hatchback which seems a much better car.. I did spec it up though with sports seats, pedals and steering wheel along with sunset glass, eibach lowering springs, different alloys and extra little things in the boot like nets and side pods. Overall its a well spec'd car now and i think it just makes it feel 'better' if that makes sense.
  7. Mine was nearly one year old when replaced. It wasn't actually rejected in the end, just replaced with a new model of my choice with the negative equity virtually cleared by the finance company (vwfs - small amount) and skoda uk (larger amount). The new car was also discounted a bit and I did have to start a new PCP deal. If it wasn't for the very helpful business manager at my dealer, I don't think it would of got anywhere as skoda uk were not very helpful towards me on my own. Get the dealer on your side and make them ring and ring and ring skoda uk and keep on at them until you get the deal you want.
  8. Bump. Still have these if anyone is interested. Make me an offer I can't refuse!
  9. hi all, i have noticed that at just over 2k revs, there is a growling noise from the engine. to me it sounds exactly like induction noise and reminds me of my youth when you used to drill holes in the airbox or fit k&n filters.... (grown out of that now thankfully) has anybody else got the same noise meaning it is just a trait of the engine? It is really annoying me as at 75ish on the motorway 6th gear sits right in the noisy rev range. I must add that I have had the airbox apart and rebuilt just in case something was loose.... Also, I have came from the 86 BHP version which was so quiet, strange as I thought it had the same components just different engine maps for more power? Thanks
  10. Brightness on day mode max, brightness on night mode min, set to auto and still no change..... with a few people already saying theirs doesn't change over I suspect that none of them do! Not sure where we would stand with skoda on this one, after all a massive distraction at night if it doesn't change over automatically........
  11. Yeah, auto is selected but it does not want to change over at all..... strange.
  12. I have just fitted the plastic pockets and nets in the boot. Simple things make all the difference! Cost £25 all in from local dealer and took only minutes to fit. Next on the list is shopping bag hooks and raised boot floor.
  13. Hi all, the wifes pid won't change over from day mode to night mode on the sat nav, even though it is set to automatic. Any ideas? On a side note, what a fun car, just love chucking it about and listening to that happy little 3pot singing away! Thanks in advance.
