  1. The Scout just looks better. Afaik it also has a higher ride height & some enhanced underside protection that the 'bog standard' 1.9s don't have. I've loved mine, but am chopping it in for a Saab convertible. £3250 and it's yours Tic btw...I'm straight swapping it for the Saab.
  2. I looked around for pads & discs recently. Most indies were no cheaper than the dealer. A local (reputable) tyre dealer, however, was about 40% cheaper than anyone. £145 for the rears on my Scout.
  3. Get a Bolero then add the Bluetooth module? Enhances the interior too imho.
  4. Well. That was possibly a rash decision, but I've just chopped the Scout in for a Saab 9-3 convertible...that'll be my sixth Saab then... So. If anyone is in the market for a nice, but a bit leggy (142k) Scout, keep an eye on AutoTrader in the Bridgwater area in the next week or so!
  5. Sorry for the delay. No, mine is 7P6 035 730 F. Doesn't integrate with maxidot though - would VCDS sort this?
  6. Just wait a few days for Halfords to have a sale...or go through Quidco for cash back. And no, I don't work for Halfords! http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car-stereos/pioneer-fh-x720bt-car-stereo
  7. £45 on Gumtree... SKODA OCTAVIA MK2 1Z ESTATE ROOF BARS AND BOX https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/skoda-octavia-mk2-1z-estate-roof-bars-and-box/1163128041
  8. They have one that plugs into the back of the unit which can be mounted internally. Most seem to just leave it under the dash. I did when I had a Columbus and it worked well.
  9. FWIW, my Bluetooth module streams to my Bolero (pre-FL Octy). GLWS
  10. Thanks - be interested to hear the results. Mine's due a service so will be getting it looked at in a week or so.
  11. My problems started after I had the Haldex serviced...hopefully a coincidence
  12. I'll probably go for Cross Climates when it's time to change. The roads around here get fairly tasty in the winter - mud & floods rather than snow - but they seem to get very good reviews.
  13. We were given one as a hire car in Austria over half term. Whilst it undoubtedly felt 'tighter' than my nine year old Scout (I'd hope so at 10k vs 141k!) the boot was considerably smaller. Certainly not a contender...
  14. Has anybody taken a punt on this? Looking for a new satnav after my TomTom was fried by an after-market charger.
