Hi, i have a 2006 VRS BLT engine code, its had a remap but unsure on the power. Last week my flywheel started knocking, its done it for a while when cold but last thursday after a short trip to work i pulled up and it was constantly knocking. The problem is im going on a 10 day euro road trip to the nurburgring and worthersee in a couple of weeks. Im not sure whether it will last for that, im looking at buying a new flywheel and clutch but obviously im at abit of a budget now because its so close to the trip. Im looking on ebay and ive found a SMF and clutch kit for £260, the buyer is NOT techniclutch and has 100% feedback, I rang them to ask the brand of the clutch kit and they said it was national. Can someone offer some advice because as you can imagine im running out of time and im stuck to a budget unfortunately!! Thanks

Hi guys, im having this little issue that when I turn my steering (say when im parking) the head lights dim and the steering goes a little heavy. Ive not long ago changed the auxiliary belt, the tensioner was very strong aswell. Any ideas?

Hi, ive recently purchased a second hand set of coilovers off a friend of mine. Turns out one of the front dampers is nackered and is making a horrible noise. Its as if the damper is dry of oil and is not running smoothly in the damper body. Ive spoken to AST suspensions in regards to rebuilding them and they quoted me £65 +vat per side. Does anyone know anywhere that is still selling the damper units on their own? Or can anyone point me in the direction of a second hand set of just the front dampers, I know its a long shot but its worth a try. Thanks

Are the line fitments the same? Or will i need new flexy lines?

Yeah im in a mapped VRS, the brakes are shocking! So I could possibly get a TT setup as well? I wouldnt go down the LCR brembo route as its out of my price range, im just after a cheap upgrade really

This has no doubt been posted but im after a cheap option to a big brake upgrade, would i be looking at an octavia VRS setup? any other options to look at? Im just thinking calipers off an OE setup that I could get abit cheaper second hand. Im having issues with uneven braking, the pads are unevenly worn and the car dives so im thinking the calipers might need a refurb but I just want abit better stopping power in general now. Thanks
